The moon is gay.
Himeko giggled. "Hey, Chikane-chan, look at this."
Chikane looked up from her book. Himeko was sitting next to her on the couch, pointing at her laptop screen.
"Is that the strange website you've been spending so much time on recently?"
Himeko pouted. "Just read it, Chikane-chan."
"I did, and it doesn't really make sense."
"Hm?"
"We've been to the moon, and it's definitely just a giant rock. It doesn't exactly have feelings."
"But, Chikane-chan, as the moon priestess, don't you embody the spirit of the moon? In which case the moon definitely is gay," Himeko said innocently.
Chikane blushed slightly. "I don't think being the moon priestess and 'embodying the spirit of the moon' are the same thing."
"Hmm… you know I'm just teasing, right?"
"Yes, of course Himeko." Chikane put a hand on Himeko's shoulder and leaned in. "Are there any of those posts that say something along the lines of 'the sun is bisexual?'"
"Uhm…" Himeko took a moment to savor Chikane's close proximity. "I don't know. I'll be on the lookout. It's certainly true, though, isn't it?"
"It is. As is what you just showed me." Chikane leaned in for a brief kiss, then withdrew to continue reading.
Himeko smiled to herself. She knew writing that post had been a good idea.
Yes, the strange website is tumblr. There are several posts floating around that say something about the moon being gay, and every single time I see one of them this is all I can think about.
