Hello and I am editing this story, I just wanted to correct errors and such. I also planned on writing a new story that was a continuation of this one, but then I decided to just write new chapters for this story instead of writing a brand new one(which I will hopefully start writing for if I can find both inspiration and a way to start off from this point).

Chapter One: Death and Hope

It had been many years since the death of one of earth's mightiest heroes; Goku. The Saiyan had died of a heart virus, such an unexpected way for a legendary warrior to die. No one could believe it, the man they had come to know and love was gone forever. Now normally if one died they could be resurrected with the Dragon Balls... but not if their death was natural. And because the Saiyan had succumb to a virus he couldn't have been wished back to life.

His death was the least of the problems the earth would face. Six months later two killer androids were unleashed upon an unsuspecting world, and upon their arrival they immediately began their killing spree. Cities were leveled, the population decimated, and anything/anyone else was destroyed. The androids took great pleasure in the pain and suffering they were causing. To them it was all a big game, a fun little way to pass the time. Leveling buildings and slaughtering innocents filled them with glee, and it was even better when they ran and screamed for their lives.

All of their destruction had caught the attention of the Z Fighters, the earth's greatest heroes. Without hesitation they attacked the killer duo, ready to defend the planet earth. They actually managed to put up a good fight... well, it was mostly Vegeta and Piccolo who put up a fight as they were the strongest warriors. While they may have been strong their opponents never tired out, the androids could keep on fighting forever. The Z Fighter's efforts were ultimately in vain, and one by one they fell.

The only one who survived was Gohan, and after witnessing the death of his friends unlocked the power of the Super Saiyan. For the next thirteen years he challenged the murderous duo, and every time he failed. Through his failure though he developed new strategies for fighting them. It wasn't much but it was the best he could do. The fact that he managed to escape with his life each time was a feat in and of itself. And all of these hard fought battles had forged the scared young kid into a powerful warrior, just like his father.

While the Saiyan had battled alone most of his life he recently gained a pupil, Trunks. He was the son of Vegeta and Bulma, and as soon as he was old enough he began to learn how to fight. While Trunks did have great potential he wasn't progressing at a quick enough rate. So when both he and Gohan challenged the killer androids to a battle it resulted in the two getting injured and the older Saiyan losing one of his arms. The one armed warrior gave his last senzu bean to Trunks, because that is what his father would have done.

It had been about a year since then, and the two kept on trying to get strong enough to win. The two of them were currently sitting atop a cliff, the two had just finished training for the day. Trunks had once again tried to become a Super Saiyan but failed, his master told him that he just needed the right motivation. For Gohan it was the death of Piccolo and Krillin, his two best friends in the world. As he told this to his student an explosion could be seen in the distance. The androids were attacking yet another city...

"Darn those two!"

"This is ridiculous, they never even had a chance!" Gohan shouted as he called upon his anger and transformed into a Super Saiyan. In an instant his hair had become golden, and his eyes changed from black to teal. A furious aura of golden light surrounded his body as well. He stood there for a few moments before looking over to his adoptive brother, with a concerned look in his eyes. "Trunks please stay here."

"Are you crazy I can't let you fight those two alone!" The half-Saiyan didn't want his mentor going going alone, there was no way he could take both of them on at once. Especially because he only had one arm.

"I'm a lot more vulnerable when you're there with me!" Gohan exclaimed as he clenched his fist. As much as he didn't want to admit it he was right. With Trunks in the battle he would have to worry about protecting him instead of fighting the androids, and there was no room for error when fighting them. Even more so when he was handicapped.

"But I'm a lot stronger this time! Come on I can't let you go with your injury, please!?"

The Super Saiyan had to think for a moment. Maybe Trunks had become strong enough to battle the androids with him. Sure the gaps in their power were great, but perhaps the gap had been closed slightly over the year. Plus he did only have one arm, and the handicap was bad enough as it was. Yet he also knew that he was taking a big risk in taking his brother, but at this point it really was all or nothing. With his decision made he looked over to his pupil and smiled. "All right Trunks you win, but I want you to stay back. And if it looks like I'm becoming overwhelmed you can join in."

Hearing that made the younger Saiyan smile. "Great, lets go get em!"

Just like that the two of them took off and headed to the city where the androids were attacking. As they flew the Super Saiyan had an uneasy feeling, and more so than usual. What if he was wrong and Trunks couldn't handle himself? What if the previous conversation on the cliff was their last conversation? Gohan did not want to be responsible for his death, it would be devastating for both him and Bulma... but it was too late to turn back now. 'I hope you're ready Trunks.' Gohan thought to himself as they were nearing the city.

Inside the ruins of North City, the two androids were blasting down buildings. All of the people in the city were dead, and now the two killers were just destroying the remaining buildings. They didn't have to destroy the buildings but it gave them something to do. In such a desolate world one had to make the most of everything, because soon enough it would all be gone. "Man destroying these buildings just isn't fun anymore, its a shame all the humans died so quickly!" 17 said as he searched around for anything entertaining to do.

"What did you expect, these humans are so fragile and weak. It's almost sad really." 18 stated as she kicked around some rubble looking bored.

The male android turned towards his sister. "Don't worry something fun is sure to hit us." As if on cue he turned his head, and he was sent flying into a nearby building, courtesy of Blondie.

18 cracked a smile as the only two people on earth who opposed them landed on the ground. Finally they would have some fun today. "Well if it isn't Blondie and his little friend, and I thought we were out of fun things to do."

Her brother stood up from the rubble, his shirt was torn up and he also began to smile. "Oh look they trashed my shirt, well at least now we have a fun little challenge ahead of us. 18 lets see which one of us can kill him first!"

Trunks stood next to his mentor, doing his best to look intimidating... or at the very least not shaking with fear. Unfortunately he was shaking a little bit. He knew this upcoming battle was going to be tough, it always was. And even though he wasn't going to actually fight he was still afraid. The half-Saiyan was worried about his brother. He knew Gohan could handle himself, but with only one arm the chances of victory were even lower than before.

Despite the even more uneven odds Gohan kept his cool. The fight would be worse if his mind was preoccupied with his handicap. So, he pushed all other thoughts and focused all his attention on the upcoming fight. He clenched his fist tightly and shot the two killers a murderous glare. "You two will pay for all of the innocent lives you've killed, and every city you've destroyed!" He noticed the androids laughing, and that made him even angrier. His rising anger was accentuated by his aura erupting from his body. "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH THIS!" He shouted, blowing away nearby rubble, and sending out huge clouds of dust in the process.

The younger Saiyan had to close his eyes due to the sheer amount of dust and wind. The huge golden light didn't make it any easier to see. He also found himself getting slowly pushed away by the sudden gales. 'Wow this is intense.'

Gohan flew with rapid speed at his two opponents, actually catching them off guard. He sent 18 flying with a punch to the face and then quickly turned towards her brother, who was already prepared for a fight. In an instant their fists smashed against one another, making a huge shock-wave ripple through the air around them. The two then started throwing everything they could at each other. They went blow for blow, punch for punch and kick for kick. They were evenly matched and neither one seemed to have an advantage. Loud booms were produced as their blows collided, and even more shock-waves exploded around them.

As the two warriors battled they slowly began rising into the air, still able to fight even while ascending. They kept fighting and the male android showed no signs of letting up, he was relentless. Luckily the Super Saiyan had a better grip in martial arts, and was thus able to put a strong defense. He caught a break when he just barely avoided a kick to the face. He saw the opportunity and to get the upper hand and he took it. With a mighty knee to the gut, and an elbow to the spin, he sent his foe crashing into the ground.

Gohan went to pursue but but was quickly halted by a kick to his face, courtesy of the 18. A yell of pain escaped his lips as he went soaring into a recently destroyed building. His collision caused him to be embedded deep in the pile concrete and metal. And any part of the building that survived the initial demolition was destroyed, covering the Super Saiyan in rubble.

"Wow something must have sent him over the edge he's tougher today." She noted as her brother got up off the ground and joined her

"You're right, what do you say we kick things up a notch and teach him a lesson?" He asked as she shook her head in agreement. The two charged the pile of rubble the Saiyan was in. Right as Blondie was getting up the male android rammed his fist into him, making him bend over in pain. His sister then gave their enemy an uppercut, launching him high into the air. Both androids dashed up to him and relentlessly hit him with a flurry of punches and kicks. They struck any open area, hitting every single part of his body.

Each blow damaged the half-Saiyan more and more, and he knew he wouldn't last long at this rate. Gathering his energy, the Super Saiyan unleashed an explosive wave of energy, blowing his attackers away. Without wasting time the Super Saiyan flew towards the female android and gave her a devastating punch to the gut. He then jammed his boot into her stomach, making her crash into the ground. Before he could celebrate his small victory 17 came flying at him, two energy spheres within his hands. Reacting to this Gohan put up a barrier to defend himself, right as the balls of ki came at him. It shielded him against the blasts but it left him little time to put up his guard.

The android took advantage of his opponent's openness he kneed him square in the gut. Not giving his foe any time to recover he brought his elbow down full force onto the Saiyan's back, making him scream in agony. A smirk came onto 17's face as he socked his foe in the cheek, sending him crashing into a pile of rubble. The android then unleashed an energy blast, completely demolishing the concrete pile. His eyes drifted upwards as he watched his enemy fly out of the smoke. Before he could pursue his sister was already on the offensive. He watched with satisfaction as she unleashed a flurry of jabs and kicks.

Finishing her combo with an energy blast she sent Blondie flying into a dilapidated building. She was then joined by her brother and they fired several ki blasts at the ruined building, creating even more rubble in the process. The duo took a moment to appreciate their destruction. They had their opponent on the ropes, and it would only be a matter of time before they killed him.

Just then Gohan flew out of what was left of the rubble, and was now floating dozens of feet in the air. His aura came to life as he drew his hand back. A golden light soon formed within his palm. After a few moments of charging he unleashed an energy beam at the duo, to which they responded by firing a combined beam of their own. The two energies clashed and each party struggled to push the other back. The half-Saiyan yelled, making his aura intensify, giving him a little extra boost to his attack. That little boost was just enough to win the struggle and his beam consumed both of the killers, creating a huge explosion in the process. Not wanting to waste any new found momentum he rocketed straight down towards the ground.

Without warning both androids flew up from the smoke screen, catching their enemy off guard. 17 was the first to attack with a hard kick to the ribs. That was followed up with a knee to the jaw, courtesy of his sister. He socked him in the nose, she kicked him in the side of his head. And so the duo began a pattern of repeatedly raining blows down onto their collective foe. Neither one was letting up, and they had Blondie on the ropes.

Gohan knew a bad situation when he saw one, and he needed a way out. He found luck when he was able to unleash a short wave of ki, separating the murderous siblings. This allowed the half-Saiyan to escape, and he did so by ascending further into the sky. He then shot a barrage of ki bullets at his two pursuers. His weak blasts were brushed aside but it gave him an opening. Upon closing the gap between them he delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to the side of the male android's head, sending him flying to the right. He had no time to celebrate as his other opponent was right in front of them. The Super Saiyan battled it out with the female android, trading blows with her at rapid speeds. Eventually she missed with one of her sloppy punches, and he countered with one of his own. His strike launched her in the same direction as her brother.

They ended up crashing into the same building, showering them both in tons of rubble. The two angerly stood up and threw the scattered debris off of themselves. "This is becoming annoying 17, lets just finish him off already!" She shouted in pure annoyance. Although she wanted this battle to last she didn't want her clothes to keep being destroyed. There were only so many clothing stores left on earth, and it didn't help that her brother kept on blowing them up.

"Maybe you're right but I don't want the fun to end, so lets just let his strength fade and then we'll..." Before he could finish his sentence he and his sister heard something in the distance. It sounded like energy charging.

"MASENKO-HA!" Gohan shouted as he fired his signature attack with one arm. The intense golden beam traveled across the sky, heading straight for the building the androids were in. As soon as his attack hit the dilapidated structure it created a massive explosion, reducing it even further to rubble. After that last of the beam left his hand the Super Saiyan remained in the sky, now breathing heavily. He had put a lot into that attack in the hopes that it would do serious damage to his seemingly invincible opponents. A few seconds later and he slowly dropped out of the sky. As soon as he touched the ground he went down onto one knee.

Trunks, who had been watching the battle with quiet awe, ran over to his master. His best friend had been battling the murderous duo and was actually holding his own. Maybe there was hope after all. "Wow Gohan you're doing it, maybe you can finally beat those two!" He exclaimed as he patted his mentor on the back.

Gohan however, didn't think it would be that easy to beat the androids, they were more resilient than enemies like Frieza or his men. While a normal foe would get tired the androids had unlimited stamina, allowing them to fight for long periods of time without needing rest. And even though he was putting up a good fight he was starting to get worn out. Especially after that Masenko. His breaths became more frequent as he stood up. 'I can't give up now, I have to keep fighting!' Despite being tired, pretty damaged, and low on energy the Super Saiyan forced himself to keep going.

Just then 17 and 18 flew out from the pile of debris. They then descended upon the ground, surrounding the two heroes. Despite their clothes being torn up and their hair messy the androids looked completely unharmed. "Don't count on it kid that was just a warm up, the real fight begins now!" He exclaimed. His tone suggested he was angry. While he may have been pretty much indestructible that didn't mean he would be made a fool of.

Trunks had a look of fear on his face. Was there nothing that could stop the androids? He had been keeping a keen eye on the fight from down below, at least, as keen of an eye as he could. And while he couldn't see everything he did get a few good glimpses. His mentor had gotten some decent hits on the murderous duo, but that just wasn't enough.

In spite of the terrible new Gohan remained confident... as confident as he could be anyway. 'This is insane, how am I supposed to win if my attacks don't even faze them?!' The Super Saiyan thought to himself.

"What's wrong you look like you've seen a ghost, or has fear finally set in?" The blonde android asked with a sadistic look on her face.

Gohan's aura came to life. Whether he liked it or not round two was about to start. "I'm not going to give up, not while I still have the strength to fight!" He exclaimed as he flew up into the air to draw the battle away from his adoptive brother. As he hoped he had the complete attention of the murderous pair. The Super Saiyan watched as they each went to either side of him. He soon found himself trying to hold both of them off at once, a task that was much easier said than done. He may have started off well enough but he quickly became overwhelmed. With just a few blows he was sent crashing into the ground. His body formed a deep crater, and pain was coursing through nearly every part of his body. All he could do was look on with pain as his opponents let loose a volley of ki blasts, causing him to scream out in pain. Fortunately the majority of the bullets missed his body, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Trunks watched in horror as a huge shroud of smoke and dust formed around his master. "Gohan!" He shouted as the last of the blasts hit their target. He started clenching his fists, feeling angered at the pain his mentor was suffering through. He grit his teeth as he looked up at the killer siblings. The Saiyan began mentally preparing for the fight he was about to have. Doubt and fear were attempting to overwhelm his body, but his anger was prevailing, pushing away any fear he had.

"Well that was boring," The male android noted as his eyes drifted over to the lavender haired teen. "lets just move onto that kid over there." After receiving a nod from his sister the two of them flew towards their next opponent. Right as they were a few feet away from them a huge explosion made them stop. The duo turned their heads and noticed a huge golden light appearing from the smoke.

The young Saiyan watched as the shroud slowly dissipated, leaving behind a wonderful sight.

Standing amidst a mass of demolished building was Gohan. His orange shirt had been completely destroyed, revealing the blue shirt he wore underneath. Several holes and tears could be seen in his pants. His face was spattered in his own blood, even more so than his arms and legs. "Leave Trunks out of this!" He screamed as he charged at his opponents.

In an instant he had cleared the gap between himself and the androids. He once again engaged them in combat, but this time he was able to hold them off. He blocked one of 17s' kicks and countered with a punch to his face. The half-Saiyan quickly dodged one of 18's fists, giving him an opportunity to retaliate. With a forceful swing of his arm he smacked her in the face with the back of his hand, driving her down to the ground. He took the brief lull in combat to catch his breath. Unfortunately he had little time to rest, his enemies were already heading his way. Not wanting to fight them again so soon he ascended higher into the air. He spared a look downwards and didn't see either android, making him sigh lightly in relief. As he returned his focus skyward he gasped loudly.

Directly above him were the androids, and they were both grinning wickedly. 17 latched onto Blondie's arm, rendering him temporarily immobilized. He then rammed his knee into his foe's gut, knocking the wind out of him. A sinister chuckle escaped his mouth as he continuously kneed Blondie in the gut. After a few more strikes he released his grip on the arm, and at the same time he thrust his other fist into the nose of his opponent.

18 materialized behind him and kicked him straight in his spine, sending her foe on a collision course with the ground.

Gohan slammed forcefully into the hard ground, creating yet another deep crater in the landscape. He laid there in agony for a few short moments before passing out. His hair had returned to its normal black color; his Super Saiyan strength had left him. As much as his mind screamed at him to get up his body wouldn't comply. And so he was left a bloody broken mess on the pavement.

Trunks rushed over to his master with tears in his eyes. Unlike last time he wasn't sure if his brother was going to get back up. As he neared his fallen mentor he gasped loudly... his friend was no longer a Super Saiyan. He then started shaking him violently in the hopes of waking him up, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't wake his master. "Get up Gohan!" He could sense that his friend was still alive, which was a very good sign. But that didn't really help put his mind at ease. Just seeing his master in such bad shape worried him greatly.

A few seconds later the androids descended onto the arena next to the teen and started laughing. "Oh look we upset the kid, why don't we show him a fun time." He stated rather than asked.

The young warrior clenched his fists as he watched the two siblings slowly walk over to him. "You two are going to pay for this!" Without warning he blindly charged his two opponent and began to attack them. Although he was giving it his all he could do no damage. Every strike that connected was shrugged off harmlessly. Despite not making a dent he continued his anger fueled rampage.

This went on until 17 caught the teen's hand crushed it, making his foe cry out in pain. "Don't worry the pain will be over soon hahahaha!" Without much effort the male android hurled the boy into the air, and once high enough both he and his sister unleashed twin spheres of ki. Their huge balls of energy struck their foe.

As these attacks hit him Trunks cried out in pain. His body felt like it was being ripped apart by the sheet amount of power. There was nothing he could do to stop it though. 'I'm sorry Gohan.' With one huge explosion ad cry of pain the young Saiyan had been vaporized. A huge cloud of smoke was all that could be seen.

The boy known as Trunks was dead...

Gohan's eyes shot open as he felt his little brother's ki fade away. He groggily got to his feet and stared up at the big shroud of smoke. "TRUNKS!" The half-Saiyan screamed to the heavens. Tears quickly filled his eyes as he fell to his knees. He began crying, letting the sadness wash over him. Soon after slammed his fist into the the pavement, breaking apart the ground around him and creating tremors in the earth. His fist was starting to hurt but at the moment he didn't care.

Why did he bring Trunks along, why couldn't he have knocked him out instead? Sure there was a great chance he would have did, in fact he was certain that ti would have been his last battle... but Trunks would have lived. His adoptive brother could have lived to fight another day, instead of having his life taken away from him. His best friend in the whole world, the boy who looked up to him and idolized him was gone, and there was no way to bring him back.

17 and 18 were laughing their heads off. Not only had they gotten rid of one 'nuisance' but their actual threat was on the ground crying. That one scene alone made up for all the annoyance Blondie had caused them over the years. "Well at least you're still alive," 18 noted. "you'll put up a better fight than that kid."

The half-Saiyan diverted his gaze towards the two androids. What started as a mournful expression quickly escalated into a furious glare. Those two had just taken the life of his brother and they didn't even care! Not that he expected them too, but it still made his blood boil. A mere moment later his mind flashed with memories of the past. He could clearly recall the day Piccolo and Krillin died, the day that more often than not filled his nightmares. Witnessing his best friends' deaths made him angrier than he had ever been in his life. That anger was what triggered his Super Saiyan transformation. The pain he felt was unreal, and he vowed to never let it return. And yet here he was, lying on the ground grieving over another one of his friends deaths.

Rage was slowly over taking him, he wanted nothing more than to make those two suffer. To make them beg for mercy just like every innocent person they slaughtered! It was then that he heard a voice in his head, and it sounded just like his father's. 'Gohan get angry, the power you need to win is inside you just use the pain of loss!' He wasn't sure if that voice had been real, but he chose to believe in it. Ignoring the pain his body was in Gohan stood up. He then shot the androids a murderous look, one that was full of both fury and pain. "You two are going to pay for what you've done! YOU HEAR ME, PAAAAAAAYYYYYY!" The dam had burst, and all the boiling rage inside unleashed itself with a violent explosion.

Both androids were flung backwards by the sheer amount of power Blondie had just sent out. As the pair picked themselves off the ground they looked on at the scene with wide eyes. The ground beneath them rumbled violently, as if it would split apart at any moment. Harsh winds blew out in all directions, kicking up dust and dirt as it went along. Neither android knew what was happening, and it was hard to see past the barrier of smoke that appeared out of nowhere. All they could hear was the powerful shouting of their foe. "W-what's, happening?" 17 questioned, struggling to keep his eyes open.

18 couldn't say anything, she was just as confused as her brother was.

With one final yell the entire city lit up with a golden light. A huge shock-wave rippled throughout the area, it destroyed anything that wasn't already damaged. After a few moments and the yelling finally ceased. A thick cloud of smoke was the only thing that remained of intense display of power. When the smoke finally cleared Gohan could be seen, he was standing in the same spot. At first everything seemed normal, but it quickly became apparent that the Saiyan had changed. His eyes were narrowed even more so than usual. His hair was even spikier, standing even straighter up than before. His aura seemed even more jagged than before. The finishing touch was the lightning that shot out of his body like electrical discharge. It danced around his body and made him look even more menacing.

The androids were confused by this. All of that shouting and he barely changed, what a shame. Since all they wanted to do was kill him they didn't really care though. In fact it made things more interesting. "Well if you're done grieving we can get back to the game!" 17 extended his hand to fire a ki blast.

Before the blast could be fired the revitalized Gohan moved right in front of his foe. In the blink of an eye he grabbed the androids arm and began to crush it. "The games are over androids, now you're going to pay!" He yelled, his voice sounding deeper than before.

"Why you!" The male android brought his other hand to punch Blondie but it was grabbed it before could hit anything. 17 stared wide eyed, had his opponent really grabbed both of his arms with only one hand?! Impossible!

18 looked both concerned and surprised. Blondie's speed had increased, but she didn't know how that was even possible. 'How could he have gotten so fast?' She thought to herself.

Gohan kneed 17 in the gut, nearly breaking the android's ribs in the process. He followed that up with an uppercut, sending his enemy shooting into the sky. The Super Saiyan then turned to his attention towards the other android, giving her the same glare as her brother. Instead of attacking right away he simply stared at her. He wanted to instill fear into the android, the same fear she gave everyone else on earth.

18 was afraid, very afraid. She stood there in shock before steeling her nerves. She didn't want to show fear to her enemy. A fierce battle cry escaped her lips as she dashed at Blondie. Once close enough she began her assault. The female android attacked with everything she had... unfortunately it wasn't getting her anywhere. Every hit thrown was dodged without much effort. This of course made her angry. "Why can't I hit you?!" She shouted as she continued her futile assault. She only stopped because of the fist that lodged itself into her gut.

The Super Saiyan looked up and noticed the male android coming back down to earth, giving him an idea. He grabbed the female murderer by the arm and flung her into her brother. This caused the two androids to collide in mid-air, and then fall ungraciously to the ground. He watched as they slowly stood up from the impact.

"How are we losing, he should be no match for our power! T-this doesn't make any sense!" 17 shouted as both he and his sister clenched their fists.

The Super Saiyan narrowed his eyes at them. "You two don't get it do you, I finally snapped and all of my hidden power and rage has exploded inside of me!" He shouted as sparks crackled around his body. "Ever since I was little I always had this rage inside of me, and it only came out when me or my friends were in danger, and when it did my power increased dramatically! When Piccolo and Krillin were killed I got so angry I was able to become a Super Saiyan, and when you two killed Trunks I was able to unleash all of my hidden power!" He could see the nervousness washing over to scared siblings. "Now I have the power to kill you two right here and right now!"

"Well then lets see what you've got!" The male android challenged with false bravado. In an instant he dashed towards Blondie, ready to wipe that smug look off of his face. Before he could even land a hit he was stopped, his eyes drifted down and he noticed an arm going through his chest! His eyes went wide as he stared at the gruesome display before him. The only sounds that came out of his mouth were his inaudible gasps, he couldn't even form a word.

Once Gohan removed his fist the android fell backwards onto the ground, unable to move a muscle. The half-Saiyan looked down at his fallen foe, and he saw for the first time ever a look of fear in the android's eyes. He sneered in disgust. "This one is for Piccolo and Krillin!" He picked up the male android and threw him up into the air. The Super Saiyan then flew past his injured opponent, all the while building up his ki in his hand. "KA-ME-HA-ME-HA!" He shouted as he unleashed a quick yet powerful Kamehameha Wave.

17's entire body was engulfed by the huge beam. He screamed in agony as his body was slowly being disintegrated by the attack. The pain didn't last long though as he was killed within a few seconds.

18 looked both shocked and scared. Her brother had just been killed! She never thought that would ever happen. Both her and him believed that they would live forever, that no force could stop them. Yet that belief had just been crushed. Her brother was gone and it was just her left. Her fear intensified as her opponent flew down towards her, landing just a few feet away from her. "You... killed my brother... you're going to pay for that!" 18 shouted as she took her stance to fight him. She was unsure if she could win but it didn't matter. All that matter was that she made that punk pay for what he did.

The Super Saiyan glared at her. "What's wrong, feeling sad that you lost someone close to you, that you have no way of winning? Well this is how everyone on earth felt when you two caused destruction, and it's also how I felt when you killed my friends!" His aura flared as he slowly walked towards the android, ready to end her life. While his father would have given them another chance Gohan wasn't going to be as merciful. There was no way that either android deserved mercy, not after all they have done to the world.

"No I'm going to kill you and avenge 17!" She charged him and punched him in the face, but he did not flinch. The female android once again had a look of fear on her face. She then threw a flurry of punches, but they did no damage. It would be like a human trying to break a brick wall with their hands.

"Before I finish you how about I give you a taste of your own medicine?" He grabbed 18's arm and ripped it off causing her to scream out in pain. Her screams gave him a dark sense of satisfaction. He let her suffer for a little while before kicking her as far as he could into the air. Within a second he chased after her, and was soon floating right above her. Gohan punched her in the face sending her flying, he then few over and grabbed her by the leg and slammed her to the ground. After that he preformed several back flips and created a ball of energy in his hand. "THIS IS FOR TRUNKS!" Gohan shot a huge wave of energy at the android.

18 looked up in time to see it coming, but had no time to react. She was too surprised to even try and muster up a defense. As soon as the beam hit her she knew it was over. Her whole body was ripped apart and she, like her brother, was killed by the furious Super Saiyan.

The smoke cleared and there was nothing left, the androids had finally been defeated once and for all. Gohan stood there for a few moments before his power faded, he then dropped down to his knees. Tears slowly filled his eyes, sure the world was safe but at the cost of his best friend's life. He stayed there and cried for what felt like hours, but it was only a few minutes. After those few minutes he stood up.

As much as he wanted to be alone right now he knew needed to tell Bulma the news, and it wasn't going to be easy. A sigh escaped his mouth as he headed to Capsule Corp to tell her what happened to her son.

In a matter of minutes he arrived at Capsule Corporation. Instead of knocking right away he merely stared at the door. His heart sank a little, and sadness threatened to take over him. With a deep sigh he opened the front door and walked inside. He didn't have to go far as Bulma was in the main part of the house, still working on the time machine.

The scientist stopped when she heard someone enter. She turned around and saw one of her only remaining friends. "Gohan what are you doing here? I thought you were training with Trunks."

The Saiyan was doing his best not to break down in front of her. "The androids are gone." He stated plainly.

Hearing that made Bulma light up. She was so excited she dropped the wrench that was in her hand. "REALLY? That's wonderful, at last the earth is finally safe!" She felt like throwing a party, it was like a dream come true! Her excitement left as quickly as it came when she noticed the grim expression on Gohan's face. It was then that she noticed something wrong, surely Trunks would be by his best friend's side, jumping for joy. So if he wasn't here than where was he. "Wait... where's Trunks?"

"He... d-didn't... make it." The Saiyan choked out.

Bulma froze. Tears slowly came to her eyes. "What... d-do you mean? Gohan, where is my son?"

The Saiyan glanced down at the ground, feeling ashamed. "I-I'm sorry Bulma... I did my best to protect him but... he was still killed by the androids."

The blue haired woman fell to the ground now unable to hold the tears back. She laid on the floor, weeping intensely. Her son, the only family she had left in this desolate world was gone forever. Her heart nearly shattered. "No... Trunks... my son..."

Gohan thought she could use a moment alone so he went outside, and he needed a moment as well. The Saiyan looked up to the skies with tears in his eyes. "As long as I live I will protect the earth and become strong like you dad, and Trunks... your death will not be in vain I swear it!" He shouted to the heavens, determined to keep on training in order to protect the world.
