Waiting in the Cave
Professor Sycamore was waiting in the ice cave. He was waiting for Professor Layton to show him the living mummy he had found. Here it was before him, frozen in ice, a piece of the Azran mystery he needed to solve.
He had to solve this mystery. His whole life was dedicated to this after Targent intervened too often. He had lost his parents, his wife, his daughter – and in some way even his brother, although he wasn't dead. But he wasn't his brother either. Not anymore. Not after all the things that happened between them... Not after all the times they tried to stop each other, hurt each other, maybe even kill each other... He cared for his brother – but no one is allowed to stand between him and the Azran Legacy!
But being Descole helped him forgetting the pain of the loss of his family, of his normal life – at least for a while. Of course, this wasn't right, but then again Targent had no right to take whomever he cared about!
What is taking him so long?
For a moment he considered that Professor Layton might not find out about the snowman. But then he thought of the immense intelligence of his brother and laughed about himself. He often wondered who of them was the smartest. But then, he thought, that the answer didn't matter as long as he would succeed in his goal.
Suddenly he heard the entrance open and then footsteps. He turned around to meet his brother, finally in his true self...
