Marry Me, Rose

Today was something special, Rose could feel it. After being dolled up, she went downstairs to wait for Scorpius.

"Hey beautiful," the familiar deep voice murmured.

"Scorpius," Rose smiled. The blonde leaned down and gave her peck.

"Come on," he said as he offered her his arm.

All through the dinner, Rose noticed that Draco was extremely nervous. What was going to happen tonight? The feeling only grew stronger. After dinner, Scorpius took her to the forest where they had shared their first kiss.

"Why are we here Scorp?" Rose asked.

"Well, I was wondering if we could take a stroll here, you know, reliving memories..." Scorpius trailed off. Rose nodded understandingly.

"Of course, but tell me love, why in the name of Merlin is this place hot but still snowing?" Rose smiled, catching a snowflake in her hand. Scorpius didn't answer but just walked in deeper.

"Is that a blue rose?" Rose asked after a moment. She had spotted a crystal blue rose and was running towards it.

"A rose for my rose," Scorpius grinned. Rose laughed.

"You're so cheesy," she thumped his chest. Scorpius raised his arms in surrender.

Walking in deeper, Rose found something odd.

"Okay Scorpius," she said, "I know I love roses but this is too much!"

There was a small circle in the middle, completely surrounded by different color of rose. Scorpius led her inside and stopped still.

"Turn around Rosie," he smiled gently. She turned behind and saw the magical squirrel scamper by. She smiled widely.

"Scor-" she began before stopping dead. Scorpius was down on one knee. He cleared his throat.

"Rose, the moment you fell in my compartment in our first year, I knew there was something special. Whenever you screamed at me, I couldn't help but notice that you seemed to be bursting with life. Remember when we got lost in this forest in our fourth year? That was the day I realized I had feelings for you. And then Rose, my sweetheart, you jumped up and kissed me. From the day of our first kiss, every second that we didn't spend together felt like a waste of time for me. Remember the time I held you when Arthur was in hospital? I felt something deeper for you. I had fallen in love with you the moment I laid my eyes on you. Yeah, I know I'm rambling so here I go. Marry me, Rose?"

Rose was silent for a moment. She wanted to remember this moment for her entire life. Blood rushed in her head. Scorpius was proposing to her, so why did it feel different?

With a start, she realized she had already expected it.

"Of course you idiot!" Rose yelled and launched herself at Scorpius. The two hugged on the snow covered ground.

"I love you Rose," he murmured.

"I love you too Scorpius," she whispered.

He slipped the ring on her finger. Rose gasped. It was absolutely beautiful. It was a platinum band. Small diamonds dotted the band on one side, surrounding the sapphire.

"It's beautiful Scorpius!" she yelled and kissed him. Scorpius looked a bit dazed as they separated.

As they walked back to Rose's parents house, Rose smiled happily.

She was engaged.
