You find yourself on the hills of Arikara Plains (fictional). The rolling hills were covered in lush green grass. As you stand there admiring the view, you hear galloping in the distance. The sound became closer and closer to you. When it seemed that the galloping had stopped, you hear a loud snort and a horse stomping. You wheel around, unsure of what was there. A girl with long brown hair in a beautiful dress sat upon a muscular golden Quarter Horse. The girl rode with no saddle or any form of tack.

As the horse reared once more, the girl simply wrapped her fingers within the horse's mane. The horse calmed down. You noticed that the horse held your gaze and so did the girl. Both the girl and the horse had powerful presences. You could not look away. The girl jumped down off the horse and said to you "I hope you know where you intend to go. You will lose yourself in Arikara's Plains. The wild horses will captivate you and you'll never want to leave."

As you watched the girl ride away on the horse, she turned back and nodded to something behind you. When you turn to look, you find yourself standing in front of a lean but muscular chestnut Quarter Horse gelding. He stared at you and it seemed like he had pierced your soul. The horse snorted and disappeared. You, shocked, collapse. When you wake up, you find yourself in a large cave, or tunnel. You weren't sure which. You rolled over and found yourself face to face with a young dun Quarter Horse colt. His mother, a dark bay Quarter Horse mare, stood over him. A black Quarter Horse stallion stood about twenty feet away, glaring at you.

You decide that you want to leave but as you try to get up. The colt stands up and pushes on you. The mare did nothing to stop the colt but did nothing to hurt you in any way either. The stallion, however, screamed and pushed the colt away. The stallion then shoved his head into your chest. You, surprised, begins to rub the stallion's head. You decide to name him Storm, because he had a gray tint to his black coat. As you rubbed Storm's head, you notice that same chestnut Quarter Horse gelding standing just in sight.
