The Beating of My Heart
I say I love you
You say you love me too
And the beating of my heart
Lets you know, what I said was true.
I smile
Because of that crooked little grin you smile
Whenever I walk in
And you think you're committing such a terrible sin.
When you say hold on
I hold on tight
Because running at your speed
To me is a frightening sight.
I know you'll always be here
Right by my side
Even though you're out there…fighting for my life.
I can't get over the fact
That when I say I love you
You say you love me too
Even without the beating or my heart
I hope you know it's true.
