Monstropolis Elementary School's third grade class was taking its first field trip of the year to Monsters Incorporated. the students were very eager to see where many of their own parents worked, however, no monster was more excited than Randy Boggs. As he sat on the bus with his best friend, fungus he began to ramble off facts about the factory.

"Did you know that Henry Waternoose the second is CEO right now? My dad said he in - inheri - got the company from his dad." he said, looking eagerly as his red three-eyed friend.

His friend shook his head thoughtfully as he listened, "No Randy, I didn't know that."

"And did you know they have a group to destroy human things the scarers bring back with them?"

"I've heard about them...the CPA right?"

"No Fungus, the CDA."

"Oh. Gee Randy, you sure do know a lot about Monsters Inc."

Randy grinned showing his sharp teeth, "Well yeah, i gotta if I'm ever going to be the best scarer in all of Monstropolis some day!" he stated with astounding confidence.

"Hey, do you think I could be top scarer one day, Randy?"

This made Randall grimace, "Get your own dream Fungus." he snapped.

He hadn't meant to yell at his best friend like that, but being the top scarer for Monsters Inc was his dream and he didn't want anyone to ruin it. Maybe he'd apologize later to the red skinned monster after he cooled down.

He didn't have time to come to a decision as they pulled up to the factory after what had felt like forever. Randall quickly hopped out of the bus seat and pulled Fungus out with him, "Come on! Hurry! We gotta be in the front if I'm going to learn anything new!" he shouted excitedly.

"I don't think you can learn much more." his friend retorted.

Randall ignored the comment as he pushed his way through the small and anxious crowd of third graders to the front where he came face to face or, rather, face to leg with a very tall, white, and hairy monster.

"Hello there children! I'm Mr. Yeti and I'll be conducting your tour today!" he introduced, looking quite eager himself, "Now before we go in it's very important that we all stick together. No wandering from the group!"

With the introductions and warnings out of the way the class was herded inside by the Yeti and the class's teacher to begin the long-awaited tour of Monsters Inc.
