Words
Words. They were like small fragments of the real deal. Sometimes they told you everything, and other times they told you nothing but pathetic lies. That's what filled his life. Lies. Nothing would ever be right. Nothing ever exact. Nothing. That was what the Uchiha boy was thinking about. More words would fill his head tommorow and the day after that and again and again. He couldn't take it. As he reached the edge of the forest near Konoha, a strange peculiar voice filled his ear. "Sasuke-kun?" she spoke softly. In words. He sighed at the blond's recognition of him.
"What are you doing here?" she whispered, revealing herself to be in the forest as well. She was verbally incorrect. Why with the words?
He looked her once over at that time. Her shirt no longer connected to her skirt and showed her belly. Her hair was longer than what it last was but worn in the same fashion. Her eyes, still the bright blue they were, revealed she was looking him over too. "I… dun no." he sighed and looked to his feet.
"What's wrong?" she asked. He was surprised she didn't drag him back to the Leaf. She walked closer to him and lifted his head to the point where he was staring at her eyes. Which were full of concern.
He sighed again and closed his eyes. She gently let go of his face and backed away. He shook his head and shooed her away. She didn't say anything, but he knew she was still there. That reminded him to ask, "What are you doing here?"
She looked up to his face, which was now watching hers and flushed the brightest shade of pink imaginable. "Looking for you…" she barely made a sound. "and not turning back… ever…"
She was looking for him. And leaving the Leaf to do it. Forever. He was shocked to hear those words. To hear the truth… He watched her eyes glisten with tears. She was doing the hardest thing she could possibly do. And she was doing it for him.
He took her face in his hands this time and lifted it to kiss her. He wrapped her arms around her and she did the same. And he loved it. It said something. But it wasn't words.
