Hi everyone!! So, I was really upset when Rose left Adrian. Because I like Adrian lol. So I wondered what he would do now that Rose was gone. This is just an intro, to see what everyone thinks so please review!! Hate it or love it, reviews make me smile.

Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Academy. That would beling to the amazing Richelle Mead.

Caitlin Ellet watched from down the hall as Rose Hathaway left Adrian's room. Caitlin had met Adrian on the ski trip and was instantly intrigued by him. And ever since he had come to the Academy, she had begun talking to him, becoming an odd kind of friends. Before meeting Adrian, Caitlin had never had a problem with Rose. But then Adrian had started pursuing Rose, who was obviously in love with Guardian Belikov. Rose thought Adrian's flirting was just a joke, but Caitlin had picked up on the truth. The fact that Rose kept brushing off Adrian drove Caitlin absolutely nuts. Caitlin didn't know why Rose had gone to see Adrian, or why she'd left, but she was sure no good could have come from it.

Caitlin took a deep breath and walked over to Adrian's room, knocking on the door before entering. "Adrian?" She asked. "You ok?"

He was sitting on his bed, empty bottle of vodka in his hand, looking vulnerable for the first time that Caitlin knew of. "Nope. There's no more vodka." Adrian gave her a small smile.

Caitlin sighed and walked further into the room, closing the door behind her. "You know what I mean. Are you ok?" She repeated, taking the empty bottle from his hand and setting it on the nightstand.

"I'd be better if I had more alcohol." He said, looking at her as if she had some stashed away somewhere.

You'd be better if Rose was here. Caitlin thought bitterly to herself. "If I had some, you know I'd share with you." She sat next to him on the bed, looking over at him. "What's up with Rose?"

"She's leaving." He said simply. "Damn it, I wish I could have stopped her." He hit his head against a pillow.

"Come on, you know Rose. Once she decides to do something, there's no stopping her."

"If Belikov were here, he would have been able to stop her." Adrian sounded bitter and jealous. "She would have died to save him. Lucky bastard."

Caitlin's heart went out to him. He had always hidden his true emotions from everyone, and now the girl he loved had run off somewhere. "I'm sorry Adrian." She said quietly.

Adrian looked over at her. He could tell by her voice how sincerely sorry she really was. "It's not your fault. She said she'd give me a fair chance when she came back." He said, a smile on his face. But Caitlin didn't really believe that, and she could tell Adrian didn't either.

But she smiled back anyway. "That's great."

Adrian sighed and rested his head on her shoulder. It wasn't flirtatious, just a show of how comfortable the two had become with each other. "Out of all the girls who want me, I have to pick one that has no interest in me whatsoever. Go figure."

Caitlin remained silent, running her fingers absentmindedly through his hair. "She's blind if she can't realize how amazing you are."

"You're just saying that to be nice."

"Or because it's true."

"I'm not that amazing."

"I think that's a matter of opinion."

"The only opinion that matters is hers."
