"Guess who I went out with last night?"
"Who?"
"Maxwell Carrigan."
Becky, hearing this from the servers position, took the volley ball and served it directly at Amy's head.
"OW!!" Amy exclaimed, spinning around. "What the hell?"
Amy fixed her perfect pixie hair do and then turned around again.
"So tell me more about your date with THE Max." The girl next to her on the court said, giggling.
Becky, getting frusturated, aimed the ball at Amy's head again.
Amy turned around, angry.
"Okay. that was so not an accident!!"
"MAX IS MY BOYFRIEND!!" Becky screamed at the top of her lungs.
"What?? He's mine!! We've been going out for three months!!"
"No way! We've been going out for three months!!"
Becky folded her arms. "Whatever. You're just a hopeless freak who wants to go out with the hottest kid in school."
"I would like to say the same to you, Rebecca."
"Becky!!" She corrected.
"What-EVA!"
--later—
"Babe," Becky said in between kisses. "This loser at the rec center said that… she was going out with you."
"No, way, Babe…" Max said, trying not to look her in the eyes. "She's just jealous, because we share something special."
"My room?" Becky asked, giggling.
"Mmm." Max agreed, and ran off with her.
-TWO DAYS LATER—
"Becky." Amy said coldly, walking into the rec center.
"Amy." She said back.
They both sat on the bench, waiting for an opening at the court.
The girl who was talking to Amy sat up beside her.
"Tell me more about Max." She asked anxiously.
"Well, we were in the alley--"
"Amy, shut up, Max is my boyfriend."
Amy turned around. "Is that so?"
"Yeah. I asked him about you, and he just said that you were jealous…"
"Because we share something special??"
"OH MY GOD!" They exclaimed.
"I would get even." The random girl sitting next to Amy said softly.
Amy lit up. "Yes! We could make him wear thongs, and call the police on him, and then BREAK HIS HEART! YES! IT'S THE ULTIMATE PLAN!"
"YEAH! LETS SO DO IT!" Becky yells along.

"Do you know where Max's dorm is?" They asked Chris, Max's close friend.
"Uh… he dropped out."
