Truth
I led you in a search for the truth
Nine weary years ago.
Our journey began in a hotel room like this
And if I remember correctly
You still wore only a robe.
Why you followed
I don't understand why
Why I let you.
Well that answer can be learned
And here's why.
Your ocean colored eyes
Which I could gaze into all night and days long
They revealed you wonderful and open soul
As it recovered from scars.
Scars of life's joys
And Scar's of life's pain.
How your crystal clear tears always reminded me of rain.
It was your mind
Once upon a time so closed.
Your beginning to grasp new ideas
Gave me so much hope.
Hope for our future
Hope for our lives
Together we opened doors
To a new way of life.
It was your heart
So full of love and life.
I don't see how I deserve you.
Sill you deserve so much better then me.
Still I wouldn't give up those passionate nights.
When I held you in my arms.
Where love means the same as trust.
And it just feels so right.
It was also your drive
So focused and so clear.
You've fought through so much.
Only to end up here.
You've won many battles
As you have also lost.
Still with our combined drives
We will regain what we have lost.
Tonight you told me that you would continue to follow
Continue to fight for what is right
and to knock out all that is evil.
I asked you tonight what our journey has gotten you
You replied with the same question and brutally told me the truth.
What has it gotten me
This so called journey.
Not my sister..
In that you were right
Nothing I set out for..
But I got something.
It led me to a person
Who I came to trust and Love,
A person who I would risk my life for
A person who gave me joy with every touch
A person who I will always cherish.
It led me to this person.
It led me to you.
To You...My one true truth.
Who I know will love me regardless.
Who will watch my back when needed.
Who will trust me with no doubt.
I now watch you sleep
Your fiery halo around your head.
Your mind closed to the world around us.
Your heart as well as mine beating for our tiny son.
I pray that we both shall see him again.
I pray that prayer a lot.
My " Truth"
We will fight.
Fight for our Family.
Fight for our lives.
Fight for the right to love each other
and live a brand new life.
Fight for our hope which could influence the world.
Fight for our Son's sake to make it a better world.
With all this
I know we will make it.
The truth will lead us there
