Summary: A teenage girl finds a portal to Hoenn. What mysteries and wonders await her here?
"You're not going to the party, Darla. That's final."
"Mom! This is the most important party of the year!"
"Darla, don't make me repeat myself."
"Whatever. I'm going, and you're not going to stop me." I headed for the door.
"How are you going to get there? You're fifteen, you can't drive!" She asked defensively.
"I'll take a bus."
"Buses don't run this late!"
"Then I'll walk." I was grabbing my purse, my jacket, my keys.
"At night?! Alone?!"
"I told you, I'm going."
"Darla –"
"Bye." I slammed the door.
I stretched my arms. The cool, crisp, April night. What a lovely thing. I heard it was sixty degrees outside. It feels five degrees below that, but cool enough for me to walk. The wind toyed with my auburn hair as I merrily strolled along. I felt my mother's eyes on me, as I slowly disappeared down the dark road. I sighed deeply.
Why did it have to be me?
"Wha – who's there?!" I ripped my pepper spray out of my bag, and I was ready to fire.
Me.
"Who is 'me'?!"
Mewtwo.
"What? I don't believe it."
"Oh yeah? Well, turn around."
I turned around, and right in front of me was the – no, the – Mewtwo. That's right, the clone that was made in the first Pokemon movie.
"Oh, shit!"
"Yeah, never expected me, did you?"
"Um, not really. What the hell is a Pokemon doing in the real world? And how are you talking?"
"It's simple, really. In the world where I come from, Pokemon are forever made to say their names…in this world, it's different. Humans that come from my world are forced to say their names."
"Oh…kay…that's all fine and dandy, but I have a party to go to, so I'll be on my –"
"No."
"No, what?"
"You can't go to the party."
"Who are you, my mother?"
"No. I am the bringer of your destiny."
I gasped. "Bringer of my destiny?"
"That's right."
