"I'm sorry this had to end this way," his voice broke the silence.
"It's not your fault. I don't blame anyone." She answered with sadness in her voice. "Even still, I love you."
"No…you shouldn't" He immediately said upon hearing this.
"Why?"
"Because you deserve to live happily with someone else. Forget me."
"I can't do that," she simply answered.
"Don't you understand? I'm getting married" He explained to her again.
"You don't love her, right?" she asked.
He thought about it for a long time. Long silence was maintained. "I do," he just had to lie.
"Oh," all she could say. She suddenly forgot to how to construct sentence. She felt her tears flow out.
"Don't cry, please."
She looked at him with much understanding in her eyes. "I understand,"
He felt guilty but deep in his heart he knew what he answered to her was a lie. He loves her not the woman he was about to get married to.
She walked away and looked back. She smiled at him as she used to. And mumbled the words he doesn't want to hear anymore 'I love you,'
He looked down and didn't look at her again, 'This is goodbye then, Katie…I love you,' he mumbled that only he can hear.
"Katie!" Angelina called "Snap out of your day dream."
Katie looked at Angelina. She was wrong, it was no day dream. She was just recalling something "Sorry, I was just…"
"Recalling it again? Don't…it only hurts you."
Katie smiled "But then again, I guess I'm happy about it."
Angelina smiled at her friend too "Don't be….he hurt you. Hate him."
"I guess I don't have the heart to. I love him so much." Katie said looking at the ground.
Angelina sat beside Katie "Come on, he's gone. He left you…no actually you left him." She consoled her.
Katie embraced Angelina, looking for comfort. "No, he left me…but I'll always hope for our someday."
Angelina closed her eyes. She could feel Katie Bell's pain as well. And as her friend, she wanted all happiness for friend. If she could just take all the pain, she'd do it. But all she could do was comfort her and help her out of the black hole where Katie's concealed herself. "Give yourself a chance to move on, Kate."
Katie sobbed "I don't want to; I want to live in the past where Marcus and I are always together."
"Kate, don't kill yourself." Angelina said out of desperation.
"I'm not…I'm trying to make me alive again. Its just by living in the past with him."
"Your past has long gone! Ever since that Marcus Flint had gone."
"No…its still with me. It'll always be with me." Katie said.
Angelina finally let Katie get what she wanted. To be in the past for all times and live happily with it.
Angelina smiled at Katie "Whenever you need a friend to lean on, I'm always here." She said.
"You know what… Most of the time, we tell our loved ones 'I'm happy where your happy' but if your alone, are you really happy? Sometimes, its hard to accept that
Where their happy, its where you cry"
Angelina nodded "Yeah, I guess you believe in that too much."
