"Look how nice he is to his poor sister", swims through Kaylee's head. Behind her shiny eyes she knows that it isn't her voice. It is an old lady cooing in her head; her suddenly too sweet and too innocent head.
A lady who only wants to see the best; a world where beautiful Simon kisses Kaylee between engine repairs and open-heart surgery. He brushes the hair out of Kaylee's eyes and compliments her pretty dresses. She is friends with his sister and they laugh about Simon's childhood and tinker with machines.
A world where Simon doesn't lick his sister's ear.
