"Hey, what's that?" said Sirius pointing to the floor.
"I don't know, I think it fell from Snape's bag." James Potter said, grabbing a little book.
"Let's take it and see what it is" Sirius suggested.
"Okay" Said James and he opened the book.
"So…. what is it?" Sirius asked.
"A journal. I think its Snape's journal."
"No kidding! That's girl stuff, that is. Let's read it"
"Yeah, but in the common room." James replied.
James and Sirius said the password and entered the Gryffindor common room. They sat in the table that was at the back corner, away from everyone else. "Now, I'll start reading." James told Sirius.
Feb. 8
My dad gave me this on Christmas, I haven't written on you since then. I will tell you all about me and the people at Hogwarts. There are four people that I can't stand. One of them is James Potter; he thinks he's so cool because he is "good" at quidditch; Sirius Black is another one, he's always with Potter and he thinks he is the most intelligent kid in school; Remus Lupin, he is really strange because he is gone once a month and Potter, Black and Pettigrew go with him. I want to know what they do. And the last person is Peter Pettigrew, I don't see anything wrong with him but he is always with Potter and Black.
James and Sirius stopped and looked at each other. Sirius said: "That Snape, I'll kill him."
Feb. 10
Today I was almost going to know what Potter, Black and the others are doing. I couldn't find out but next time I will.
Feb. 28
I'm trying to do a plan to know what they are doing.
March 15
Tomorrow's the day, I asked Black when they were talking about something that they were doing to do tomorrow. He told me that if I wanted to know I'll have to go through the Whomping Willow or something like that.
March 16
Today I went there, that black played a thick on me! I was going to the Whomping Willow and I saw that Potter, Black, and Pettigrew were taking off and invisibility cloak. I saw them going into the Whomping Willow, so I followed them. As I was going through the willow, I saw something at the end of some kind of tunnel. It was a werewolf! I thought I was going to die. But suddenly out of nowhere Potter came and rescued me. Black told me that that had happened to me because I always had my nose in the middle of everything. Now, I have to be grateful with that Potter. And to tell you the truth, I won't do anything for him.
"Ha! I remember that, stupid Snape being where he doesn't have to be!" said Sirius.
"Well I think we need to stop for today." James said.
"Yeah"
The next day James and Sirius were on the Great Hall reading the journal, suddenly Snape came.
"What are you doing with MY journal!" Snape yelled, taking the diary out of Sirius' hands .
"Er... well, um..."
"We saw it on the floor yesterday!" James said, talking really fast.
"What did you read?" said Snape sharply.
"Er... nothing we barely opened it." Sirius lied.
"Well, I hope you didn't see anything" Snape replied, turned around and left.
"Do you think he believed us?" asked James.
"Nah, but it was really funny." Sirius said.
"Yeah"
"Hey, let's tell Moony and Wormtail."
With that the two best friends went to their Herbology class and told their friends about Snape's diary.
