SO I JUST WATCHED THE SERIES TWO FINALE. My first (and probably only) non-sherlolly fic. Maddian. I do not own anything.

The silence had a purpose. As they walked steadily further away from Maddy (oh, Maddy) Rhydian's ears twitched as he strained to hear any howls. None were forthcoming.

"So…" Tom ventured. "I mean… I knew you liked her…"

Tears sprang to Rhydians eyes once more. He didn't reply to Tom. How many years until he would be able to leave without arousing suspicion? Maybe he'd be able to pretend to run away?

Maddy, Maddy, Maddy. He could still taste her, still feel her lips on his.

"We'll find each other" She had said. And boy did he love her for it. Why hadn't he asked her out sooner? He was an idiot, a blind idiot!

The true, aching pain of separation didn't come until later, until he began to carry out his everyday life without her. The empty desk. Her empty house. The questions.

He cried. He wondered if she cried.

Years past. Aching, lonely years.

When Rhydian finally finished Sixth Form, he knew his time had come. He was an adult now. Well, sort of.

He left, carrying only a small bag. Despite using all his senses, finding her took more time that he had patience for.

They found each other, halfway across the country, a couple miles from the wild pack, in a field. They both sprang out of wolf form.

They met.

They kissed.

They laughed.

They were together.
