There was a splash as the stranger's boots crashed into puddles. Their heart was racing. They
ran to the nearest house and pounded on the door.
The door opened and a man opened the door. "Help me! Please, help me!" The stranger wheezed.
The man let the stranger in and shut the door, turning to address the stranger. But the
stranger had collapsed.
