"What is going on here?" said Lorelai. She had woken up in what appeared to be a meadow. The last thing she remembered was going to sleep last night after fighting with Luke about something silly. Now she was in a meadow that looked like something from Dr. Seuss. She was looking around and she saw something scurrying past but couldn't make it out.
"Well, hello, Lorelai!" called a familiar voice. The man sounded exactly like Willy Wonka and when she turned around it was in fact Willy Wonka.
Her eyes grew wide as she just stood there pinching herself trying to wake up, but no such luck, she was in fact in Willy Wonka's factory. Suddenly, she asked, "What am I doing here?"
"I'm glad you asked Lorelai, you are here because you are so fascinated by my Oompa Loompas, to the point that it caused a fight with your fiancee," said Willy Wonka.
"What, that was just a silly fight."
"To you it was a silly fight but to Luke it has some seriousness. Especially after everything that has happened over the past year."
Lorelai's eyes grew wide. Had her interest in Oompa Loompas somehow made Luke think of all that had happened in the last year. Maybe the silliness of Oompa Loompas reminded Luke of Christopher. Maybe it was just the fact that he thought Lorelai was being silly and it annoyed him.
"Now, Lorelai would you like to meet an Oompa Loompa." Willy Wonka didn't even give her time to answer before playing his little flute to someone some of his workers.
Despite herself and her distraction, Lorelai squealed with delight at seeing the Oompa Loompas. Strangely though, they started singing to her about how they were made up characters and she needed to apologize to Luke before he left her again, for good this time.
"Lorelai. Lorelai! wake up," Luke said.
Luke she thought, wait what happened to Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas.
"Luke, oh my God, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, earlier."
Luke looked at her like she was crazy, "What are you talking about Crazy Lady?"
"I feel so horrible, I was just joking around about the Oompa Loompas, it didn't mean anything and I would never hurt you again, if I could help it."
Luke's eyes were round as saucers. "It isn't really about Oompa Loompas, Lorelai. It's more that I'm afraid I am going to mess up again and you will leave me and this time you won't come back."
Lorelai lay in bed listening to Luke and her eyes welled up.
"Lorelai, please don't cry. I know it is silly but you and Rory talking about your attraction to the Oompa Loompas made me jealous because, I know you won't leave in my heart, but in my head, as silly as it sounds, you'll run off somewhere because let's face it I'm not good enough for you and I am bound to screw this up again."
"Oh, Luke I'm not going anywhere. I love you and we have learned from past mistakes. That has been proven because you stayed here tonight after we had a fight instead of running off to your man-cave. We communicate much better now and we have been telling each other when we have a problem instead of letting it build up.
Luke shrugged a little and kissed Lorelai lightly on the mouth. "I love you too." Lorelai pulled Luke in for another kiss and they snuggled down in bed together kissing and showing each other just how much they were loved.
When Lorelai awoke the next morning with Luke still snuggle up next to her and she smiled. She feared he would be gone this morning, but because of Oompa Loompas he was still there.
