Hey everyone. This story was written for both Halloween Bingo Funfair Event, and October Writing Club's Count Your Buttons, and Character Appreciation on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For Halloween Bingo I used prompt 51 which was apple. For Count Your Buttons I used the Pairings prompt 4. Regulus/Lucius. For Character Appreciations I used the bonus prompt of Regulus/Lucius. I hope you all enjoy His Favorite Flavor.
Lucius decided a long time ago that he liked to watch Regulus any time he could. Any time at all. The younger boy had a zest for life that the older one just couldn't wrap his mind around. He'd even tried asking Regulus about it once but he just didn't understand the answer that he was given. But something about the younger boy drove Lucius to want to understand. It was a yearning he'd had ever since he first met the boy.
"Why are you watching me?" Regulus asked as he took an apple from the basket on the counter.
"You intrigue me," Lucius answered as though this should be obvious. He watched the way the younger boy's hand curved around the apple. Something about the curve of that hand around the apple aroused feelings in Lucius. Feelings he'd only ever felt for Narcissa.
Regulus raised an eyebrow at his cousin-in-law. The older boy had started watching him more and more since his engagement to Narcissa had been announced. Regulus couldn't understand why though. What was so special about him? Why was he the object of Lucius's attention? Shouldn't that be Regulus's cousin Narcissa?
"That's not an answer," Regulus laughed as he took a bite out of the apple juice running down his chin.
Lucius reached out a thumb and traced the line of juice up Regulus's chin and across the younger boys lips before bringing his thumb up his own mouth sucking the juice off of it. He saw Regulus back up a little in shock at this act. Lucius looked at Regulus as though the younger boy was the apple and right now he really wanted to take a taste. This yearning had been building in him for some time now.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Regulus asked Lucius nervously. He didn't really understand the way the older boy was looking at him. Something about the look on the older boy's face struck Regulus as wrong. Before Regulus could ask more Lucius surged towards him.
Before Lucius could talk himself out of acting on his thoughts he felt himself pinning the younger boy against the wall. The younger boy's breathe was momentarily knocked out of him. But all Lucius was hearing was the apple bouncing across the floor as he looked at the younger boys lips. Those luscious red lips looked as plump and fresh and red as the apple that had just bounced across the floor. He truly ached just to take a taste. Licking his lips he pressed them firmly against Regulus's. Hearing the younger boys muffled gasp Lucius pulled away from Regulus and walked out of the room leaving a confused Regulus to wonder what just happened.
Licking his lips as he walked down the hall all Lucius could taste was apple. And apple was fast becoming his favorite flavor.
