The son of Michael Knight knelt down,"eye to scanner" and clung to KI3T like a child...

A little more than 20 years ago...
"Michael...what's wrong?"
Michael Knight tried to hold back tears from his bloodshot eyes as he knelt down to KITT,facing "eye to scanner" with his beloved AI friend.
"KITT..." He tried to hold them back,but to no avail.
It wasn't until a second or two later until he painstakingly got himself to say those words he wish would never hear,"FLAG is gone."
"What?" The AI was shocked to hear what he said
Michael sat there silently while KITT's scanner swept back and forth 2 times in the hangar they once first met each other after getting his new face and identity.
"The board...recieved a letter...from the government." KITT could tell that Michael had a very hard time staying calm.
"FLAG is gone?" KITT said calmly "That is not possible."
"BUT IT IS!"He shouted."DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT SAID?!"
"I am sure everything is going to be alright,Michael."He reassured him,"I know it will be-"
"IT SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DECOMMISSION YOU BEFORE THEY TERMINATED FLAG!"
Finally all the bitterness and anger was taken out,all that came from the AI's human companion was tears and bitter sobs,as he tightly clung to KITT like a helpless everything KITT had done for so many people, especially Michael,they decided to play God and destroy him,thinking that he was merely a highly capable machine that could mimic human behavior.
"You don't deserve that!"
"What do you expect me to be treated?Like a king?I am a machine,Michael."
"Don't say that..."He whispered through his tears,"Don't...say...that to you know how much you are worth to me?"

The story skips to a year and a half later...
"KITT...I'm sorry...Will you ever forgive me?"
"Bonnie..."KITT said calmly with his soft tenor without a hint of emotion,"Yes.I cannot blame you for this."
Michael stroked his hood with his hand,and he did the same thing he did a year and a half knelt down to face KITT "eye to scanner" and he all he could do again,was cling to him like a helpless child...

"KITT?What's wrong?"
KI3T's scanner paced back and forth at an extremely high CPU was being wracked by flashbacks from a life he had never knew.
"I do not know at the moment."He lied.
