There she sat, all but two feet away. God, she was so beautiful, everytime I saw her she managed to take my breath away. Her long, smooth blonde, almost silver, hair. And her eyes, oh her eyes! Wide, but not too wide, framed with some of the largest lashes I have ever seen. They were usually a serene shade of blue, like a calm lake on a winter's day, but could change to a stormy grey or a exuberant green at any second. And best of all, she was all mine.
As she approached, her hair pulled back tightly into the high ponytail Sue made her wear, I fell onto one knee. Her eyes widened for a minute before returning to normal.
I pulled a small box from my pocket, which I opened as she came to a stop in front of me. "Brittany S. Pierce," I began, "Will you marry me?"
I watched her closely fearing the worst. There seemed to be doubt in her eyes, I noticed. Se seemed to be pulling away, recoiling as though I disgusted her.
All the din in the room had faded away and it seemed as though all eyes were on us.
I was so absorbed in my own thoughts that I didn't notice her expression change to one of pure extacy.
She through herself onto me, screaming "Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!"
Applause surrounded us and I knew that today was the first day of the rest of our lives.
