A/N: I have an announcement to make: After spending time on this site for nearly 9 years and having written over 200 stories, I'm (finally) going to stop writing fanfiction. Unless I feel a sudden urge to post a one-shot (and let's face it, that happens about once a year), this means that unfortunately, I won't come back. I will still lurk and reply to messages and such, but I won't finish any of my other ongoing stories, including my Cloti story "Swept Away" (never say never, though). Only time will tell. :P
That being said, I'd like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you who ever read my stories, and/or reviewed, favorited and followed my work. You have helped me grow more than you can imagine. After this, I feel confident enough to finally finish my book and look for a way to get it published. If you'd like, You can see this as my thank you gift to all of you. :D It's a pretty short one-shot, but I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless. :)
~ "Ooh, why does this feel like you're stripping me naked?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. "I'm just saying. You should at least buy me dinner first." ~
It was late. Too late; it was past midnight by now and yet there she was, sitting in the livingroom as though she was still expecting guests to come over. To be honest, Cloud sometimes behaved more like a guest than someone who lived there as well.
Just when Tifa was about to give up on waiting for Cloud to show up, she heard his familiar stumbling in the hallway. The pretty barmaid angrily balled her hands into fists, ready to strike at him. Tifa had planned on getting really mad at the spiky-haired ex-SOLDIER, but upon seeing him limp so weirdly, her previous decision seemed to evaporate in thin air. At first, she thought that he was too hurt or wounded to walk straight, what with the way he was leaning against the wall for support, so initially she started panicking. Then she realized that the blond was just horribly drunk.
Apparently, one of the side-effects of Cloud's drunken state was that he became more dramatic and emo. "I'm so glad that I'm a part of your world, but I know I'm always hurting you. I'm not worth to be around you."
Despite everything, Tifa cracked the smallest of smiles. "You're not that bad," was all she said.
In the mean time, she helped him to fall asleep more comfortably by taking off his shoes and coat.
"Ooh, why does this feel like you're stripping me naked?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. "I'm just saying. You should at least buy me dinner first."
At that, Tifa had to blush furiously. But it was still not as surprising as Cloud's next four words, "I love you, Tifa."
he halted, shocked. Cloud had never said those special three words to her.
Well, this was just great. He probably didn't even mean it since he was drunk.
Cloud had halted too at this point, looking Tifa deep in the eyes. Before she knew what hit her, they were kissing pasionately on Cloud's bed. Tifa felt rather dazed. The way he'd kissed her didn't give her the impression that he was drunk at all, but what did she know; she'd never fully kissed him after all...
Gah, this was too confusing to her, she would think about this all tomorrow.
A/N: I hope he wasn't too OOC, but if he was I'm totally blaming it on the alcohol. I'd be flattered if you let me know whether you liked it or not. :)
