She's not popular.
She's not that pretty.
She's not tall.
She's too skinny.
But she's smart, maybe that could be a consolation.
Plus, she's unconventional but she's not quite sure if that's a good thing.
And she could be pretty nice sometimes.
Still, she couldn't understand why he chose her.
There's just so many better than her.
"Kenshin, why me?" She inquired with big blue innocent eyes.
His auburn eyebrows crossed in silent query.
Then a sweet smile traced his lips, his amethyst eyes filled with love, when he understood her question.
He pulled her against him and tucked her in his arms before whispering softly to her ear.
"Because you're enough."

I believe there are times when actions are not enough and that we still need words of reassurance from the people we love. And that's exactly what Kaoru feels in this short fic.
