Hey there, this is your author speaking. This is my first fanfic, so please no flames.
Disclaimer: No, I don't own Naruto. (I wish….)
Sakura ran down the nearly empty street, clutching her 9mm tightly. Her bright pink hair fluttered into her face. If she was going to continue, it needed to go. It was far too noticeable.
She skidded into an alley way, falling behind an oversized trash can. She began to fiddle with the zip on her bag, trying several times to open it before succeeding. Her hands were almost vibrating. When she finally got it open she rummaged around inside, looking for her wig.
Pulling out the synthetic object, she turned around to find her gun pointed between her eyes. 'Oh hell no! That son of a [censored] did not just take our gun!' Inner Sakura yelled. ''What do you want from me?" outer Sakura whispered, feigning innocence.
"I want what Rock Lee wants. No more, no less," The shadow replied. "And neither of us is taking no for an answer." The safety was clicked off as the clock tolled twelve times. Midnight.
Sakura kicked out, striking his knees, knocking his legs out from under him. The gun sliding across the alley as he fell. Sakura reached out, clutching the guns grip as if her life depended on it. Which it probably did.
She turned the gun onto her attacker and whispered "I'm sorry Naruto…I would come back with you, I really would but…I don't want no paper gangster." A single shot rang out, alerting the city to the battles outcome.
Two Months Later
Sakura, still on the run, was lodged in a small hotel in the village hidden in the mist, when she saw him. He was as beautiful as when she first saw him. He was the man she had been running for, running to, all this time. He was the man she had defied her village, her friends for. The man she had left Rock Lee for.
"Sasuke!" she shouted, "Sasuke!"
"Sakura…" he whispered, turning around, his gaze seeming to penetrate her very soul.
She ran to him, tackling him to the ground. "They told me you died." he whispered, "They told me Naruto had killed you."
"He didn't. I'm here and I'm real." Sakura replied.
