AN: This is a one-shot I wrote. Takes place during The Drill.

Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: the Last Airbender.

It was a normal day, well as normal as any day could be in a giant drill. War Minister Qin was enjoying a cup of tea when the news hit.

"War Minister, there are invaders aboard!" said the rather peeved guard, who had been enjoying a nap a short time ago.

"What? How?" he replied, all thoughts of tea now gone.

"A guard was attacked and his blueprints were stolen." stated the guard trying to hide his excitement, for he owed the other guard money and was hoping he'd forget about it.

"Search for the intruders immediately!" exclaimed the War Minister. "I will inform the troops!"

"Attention guards: there are intruders aboard, this is not a drill. Repeat this is not a drill!"

Immediately a confused guard replied: "I thought this was a drill sir."

"So did I." said another, equally confused, guard.

"Yes it's a drill!" exclaimed the rather irked War Minister.

"So we have nothing to worry about?" asked a guard.

"Of course we do!" stated the still quite irked War Minister.

"But you just said it wasn't a drill..."

Later

The War Minister was once again motioning to the white board but the guards still didn't see the difference between the drills. It got to the point where the guards were arguing over which was better.

"Let's go over this again. We are in a drill, a large machine that tunnels. There is no drill, an exercise or simulation." A guard raised his hand. "Yes Captain?"

"Can you have people act out the drill we're in, I'm still confused."

"Fine. You two over there," he said pointing in a random direction. "come on stage. You stand right here and you bend over and charge at him head first. Do you get it now people?" Everyone nodded in agreement. "Good"
Suddenly one guard said something. "Is it just me or have we stopped moving?" It was at that moment that the War Minister realized that there were still invaders. He hoped the Princess wouldn't be angry.

"War Minister I am disappointed in you." said the princess in question, suddenly walking into the room.

The War Minister's chances were not good. He was starting to think he would have been better off joining the invasion of the north.
