Hide and Seek

It was raining, the weather had gone from chilling to freezing in a matter of hours, and Demi was sure she'd catch a cold or something. Hell, she'd get a freaking pneumonia if she didn't go inside the house, fast. Instead, she found herself going deeper into the giant backyard of the Lovato/De la Garza's house.

The reason of all this madness was, of course, her best friend and girlfriend Selena, who insisted they play 'Hide and Seek' at eight pm, on October. Of course she refused at first, but how the hell could she resist that pout?

The way her body was drenched and cold made her shiver violently, and made her regret and resent her weakness for The Gomez Charm. That thing was dangerous. The rain kept pouring as she looked everywhere. Everywhere, except for their old tree house. Then Demi made a decision: Selena there or Selena not there, she'd climb on that ancient thing and get away from the rain for a while. Who was she kidding? If Selena was still out there, she'd keep looking for her.

The rain made it difficult to hold onto the improvised stairs, but she was happy to finally get there. Adjusting herself inside the little house, she stopped and stared at one very cute surprise. Apparently, Selena's sugar shot effect had worn off, and she had finally caught up on the day's exhaustiveness.

The girl had consumed an immense amount of candy that day, against protests from everyone on the house who knew what happened during her… Sugar Shenanigans. Dalla's words. Obviously things hadn't gone well. After playing Guitar Hero against anyone willing, helping Maddie pack for her sleepover and dragging Demi upstairs for a very enthusiastic make out session, Selena had begged for a little game. And Demi, oh what a fool she was, had caved in.

Leaning on one of the hard wood walls, she was curled in fetal position, sleeping peacefully. Demi smiled at her adorable girl, before realizing it was still very wet and cold, and Selena had only shorts and a t-shirt on. The girl was indeed shivering, and her skin was too cold. Demi realized she'd have to move Selena back into the house all by herself, although she didn't know exactly how.

After fifteen long minutes of great effort, she finally had the girl on her bed, under four layers of covers. She had taken her from the tree house to the real one, managing to not wake her up (and she was damn proud of it), and changed her into dry clothes.

After putting some winter PJ's, she laid on the other side of her king-sized bed and wrapped an arm around her girlfriends waist. Smiling, she drifted off asleep, but not before hearing Selena mutter about 'sugar' and something that sounded an awful lot like 'DemDem'.

Short again, but I promise I'll try to make these longer…

Good? Bad? I should stab myself with a plastic knife because a toddler with crayons writes better than me? Let me know.
