Prologue 5000 years ago, in ancient Egypt. A terrible catastrophe is happening. The once loyal sorcerer, Seto, has betrayed the pharaoh and opened a portal to the shadow realm. The eruption of dark magic has caused the monsters frozen in the stone tablets to break free and now run rampantly across the earth. Seto tried to take control of the beasts, but was horribly killed. The Pharaoh now consults with his two guardians.

My friends, I'm afraid what we feared has happened." Sighed the Pharaoh.

Kneeling before him, his protectors looked at each other and then the one on the right spoke, "So Seto has opened a connection to Shadow Realm,"

"And now he has fallen, leaving us to finish his work," commented the other. "I always knew he would be the end of us someday. So what do we do now?"

"It looks like will have to close the portal." the pharaoh said. His protectors gasped.

"But my liege that would mean we would have to sacrifice our souls!" exclaimed the first Egyptian.

"Are you afraid to pay the price to save this world?"

"No my liege, but I'm afraid that."

"You need not worry about me Adia, I too will be confined to item I wear," said the Pharaoh as he held up his Millennium Puzzle, "Now please, go and live in peace."

The guardians look up at each other and nodded in agreement as they looked down on the magical Millennium Gauntlets that they each wore. They then muttered to themselves a secret incantation. Adia felt so cold as the dark magic began to strip his body of his soul. With his last amount of energy, he could see his master throw the Millennium Puzzle against the floor of the Palace.

And now we return to the present.
