A/N: Does anyone else listen to the Dark Beast Ganon theme on repeat for 8 hours straight? No? Oh well. I guess I'm lonely lol.
Anyways, just as I'm writing this, I had an idea, and that idea is what you're reading. Might be a mini series, but we'll see. I have like no plot in my head, I'm just bored. And yes, yes, I know, I should be working on After Everything buuuut….. I have no excuse I guess :P
Welp, enjoy the read!
Defeat. The word still sat bitterly on his tongue, even after all this time. Today marked the ninety-eighth year since the Calamity appeared and took control of the guardians and Divine Beasts.
Revali sat at on the beak of Vah Medoh, watching as it circled above Rito Village, wrecking havoc to any brave, no foolish, being who thought to calm the beast. Foolish. No matter how many times they get shot down, they always come back. I could have taken down this beast in a matter of minutes. Revali thought, If only I was trapped in this goddess-forsaken hell hole with one of Ganon's own. As if on cue, the blight screeched it's blood-curdling scream. Probably out of glee for shooting down another Rito.
"Oh won't you shut up?" Revali spat, with a strong hint of annoyence. "All you do is scream and scream and scream. For Din's sake, why does Malice have to have vocal chords!"
It screeched, this time at him.
"Goddesses, please! Ugh, what's the point. It's useless." Revali relented, settling to just ignore the Blight, like what he's been doing for the past ninety-eight years.
Months passed. Or years. Revali didn't know anymore. He'd been stuck on this beast too damn long.
The Blight screeched one again. But this time it was different. It didn't have the same glee in it, like when it shot down the frequently visiting white Rito. This time, it sounded like a screech of terror.
"Shut it! I'm trying to – ack!" Revali was interrupted partway through his rant by a loud rumbling. The rumbling growed and growed, alongside the Blights screech's of terror.
"What in the name of Hylia is going on?" Revali asked to no one, right when the ground broke, and towers started erupting all through Hyrule, glowing in orange in blue, the long abandoned shrines, started glowing a furious orange. The Blight's screeches made sense now.
Well well well. He's finally awake.
"It seems your time aboard this beast is coming to an end. Enjoy while you can, Blight." Revali spat.
Revali was about to go on and on about how doomed the Blight was when he heard something. Something… familiar.
"….."
"...revali..."
"..Revali.."
"Revali!" The voice finally shouted.
"Wha- Urbosa?!" Revali near shouted in bewilderment.
"Well who else would I be?" Urbosa said calmly, "Do you see it? The towers and shrines? he's awake!"
"Well duh. How could I not see it." Revali said blandly.
"Oh don't give me tha -" Urbosa was interrupted by a soft, calm voice. Once again, very familiar.
"Urbosa? Revali?" Mipha asked, clearly in shock.
"Oh well it looks like Mipha can contact us too." Urbosa said.
"Oh hey guys! Long time no see!" Daruk entered thunderously.
"Looks like the whole parties here." Revali snorted. "There goes my tranquility. Do your guys blights never stop screeching too?"
"Yup"
"Too much"
"I just want to thrown it into death mountain!"
"Well looks like we're all sharing the same agony." Revali said dryly.
A/N: Welp, that's it. Pretty simple, but it was really fun to write. Hope you guys enjoy!
Cya!
