Now, if the summery didn't confuse you, this story IS a songfic, poem, and Cloti.
But if you don't like Cloti, tough, and read it anyway.
It's interesting because it switches from Cloud's and Tifa's POV.

I began to regret ever coming to this ball
When my eyes caught hers at the end of the hall.
She was wearing a dress of ruby red,
Which matched her eyes and I went to her and said
Something I thought I would never say;
That she was beautiful and her eyes lit up like day
As I extended my hand and led her to the dance floor,
Hoping I would be able to tell her more.

How his mako eyes were full of life

And we went to the floor, knowing that this could be my chance.

We were alone on the floor as we danced the night away.
But I wanted to show her I was here to stay,
As I moved closer, pressing her body to mine
And it surprised me that she didn't mind.
So I knelt towards her, whispering in her ear
Words that I always wanted her to hear.

We danced slowly all through the night
And the way we moved felt so right.
I knew now of what I must do,
To tell him of the feelings I hold true.
But he made the first move and made closer intimacy,

I was scared at first because she didn't respond,
She just stood there and stared into the ponds
That are my eyes. But by looking in hers,
I knew right away as they were louder than words
That she felt the same way as she closed in and
Kissed me, and I knew we didn't want this moment to end.
