A/N: I DO NOT OWN NCIS OR THE CHARACTERS! (first oneshot, be nice please?)
"McGee," Tony placed a cup, half occupied with water, on McGee's desk, "Is this cup half-empty? Or half-full?"
McGee looked from the cup to Tony and thought for a moment and replied, "Well, I guess it's half-full."
"Really? I was sure you'd say half empty."
"Ha!" Ziva walked over to McGees desk to join the conversation, "McGee is not the pessimistic one, Tony."
DiNozzo looked at her "Oh, and what would you say it is?"
Ziva picked up the glass and looked at it, "Well, I think that it does not matter. The glass can be half empty or half full, but either way it will still need to be washed anyway."
Tony looked at her with a look of disbelief on his face, "Well, thanks, Ziva, I think we could tell that much."
"You sure about that, DiNozzo?" Gibbs walked up to them, waiting for a reply.
"Well, boss," Tony started, "We were just discussing if the glass is half empty-"
"Half-full," McGee cuts in.
"Or wheither it does not matter, because the outcome is the same." Ziva finishes.
Gibbs took the cup from Ziva and downed it, "Well it's empty now. Grab your gear."
"On it boss!"
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this little oneshot. It's based off of a conversation I had with my friend.
McGee - Optimist - half full
DiNozzo - Pessimist - half empty
Ziva - Realist - doesn't matter because of outcome
Gibbs - Opportunist - drink the water while they're arguing.
Reviews are appreciated!
