Chapter 1
I still can't believe he invited me out of any girl he could ask, he asked me! Sure, everyone thinks Neville is a weirdo but to me this guy is cool. He's funny, always there for you when you need it, and he is a real hero. Sure, I Ginny Weasley am always crazy about Harry Potter, but he is my brothers best friend and I don't want to cause any issues between them. although they did have an argument earlier in the year but that's passed them now. "May I have this dance?" I was so mesmerized by everyone else dancing I almost forgot I could join them. "Yes, sir." I said taking his hand. He spun me around then pulled me close and we were dancing together. I love this time right now so please universe don't let it end. We danced and danced and danced till the music stopped playing. "Please one more song." I whispered to myself. Neville must have heard me because he kept going when the music stopped. "We really need to sleep. The next trial will be in a week and Harry is going to need his team." He told me. Yes, that was true. Me, my brothers, Hermione, and everyone else who is cheering for him. Which would be most of Gryffindor. Even headmaster Dumbledore is cheering for him with Hagrid. Boy, this year was tough. "That's it I think." Neville let go of me and he walked me back up to my room. "Thank you, Ginny, for going with me. I don't think anyone else would have said yes." I smiled at him still holding his hand. "I loved the time I had with you Neville. Thank you for asking me. Dean wouldn't have asked, and Harry already asked someone else to help Ron. So, thanks." Still smiling I was tempted to kiss his cheek but controlled myself. "Goodnight Neville Longbottom." "Goodnight Ginny Weasley." And we left our separate ways for the night.
