How Bamboo Came To Be

A/N: Uhhh... This is my assignment in English and I decided to share it since my parents said it was great (I don't believe them). I just edited it a little bit... probably 35% different now? Yeah.

English is not my first language, but I am known as the "best in English" in class... (I didn't have intention to brag)

So basically, our teacher gave us subjects (simple and complete) and we write predicates (simple or/and complete) with it. Here are the subjects in order:

A lovely goddess
One day
She
Together, she and her new-found friend
The gods and goddesses (I added 'other' but in my assignment it was like this, I did say that I changed it a bit)
The lovely goddess
The gods and goddesses
The next day, a slender plant called a bamboo

By the time my teacher said this, I did it right away and finished it in 10 minutes.

Seriously.

I just wrote it again on another piece of pad paper.

The one who made the best story gets to have his/her poem posted on our teacher's room.

:D

Please review and I hope you like it!

Did I tell you this was a very short story?

...

Thought so.

A lovely goddess, named Eri, was sitting on her royal chair, thinking of how she can improve the kingdom.

One day, she decided to go outside to have an inspiration. She found a girl at the side of the river and talked to her. The latter's name was Camillia and she was also a goddess, Eri noticed. It was because she had a crown in her head that was similar to hers.

Eri invited her to live in the castle and Camillia happily complied. Together, she and her new-found friend thought on how to improve the kingdom. They soon got an idea and they shared it to the castle. The other gods and goddesses strongly disagreed to Eri's and Camillia's idea and confidently announced that their idea was much better than the latter pair.

The lovely goddess Eri, and her friend, also disagreed to the gods and goddesses' plan of building taller and stronger walls around the border of the castle for it would block the wonderful nature view and some plants and trees would have to be burned. The gods and goddesses were very stubborn and completely refused. Soon, the two goddesses snapped.

The next day, a slender and strong plant called a bamboo sprouted outside the border of the castle and after some time, more and more of these trees grew until they surrounded the whole border of the castle. Amazingly, the number of bamboo trees were in par with the number of gods and goddesses that disagreed with Eri and Camillia. This proves that we should not treat nature like nothing. In consequence we might become the trees and plants themselves and experience the pain and suffering they've been through because of us.

A/N: Ok. That's it.

The author's note made the words more, literally. xD

Hope mine gets posted. *hopeful eyes*

Please wish me luck and bye-bye! :D I'll update and tell you if I win or not.

I wrote this on my iPhone.
