The fireworks bloomed in the night sky.
She looked up and smiled.
Warm summer breeze gently brushed her now bare neck.
"Beautiful", said Kai while he took a step closer to her.
"I don't understand why you had to tag along and watch the fireworks with me" she replied, tilting her to the side, stealing a glance of the tall teen.
"I tagged along because I wanted to. No other reason", Kai replied as he hovered over the short mop of auburn hair that stood next to him.
She turned towards him and looked up until their eyes meet.
He smiled at her.
She glared back at him.
Was he always this tall?
"The hair cut really suits you. Or maybe I just prefer girls with short hair" He chuckled.
She looked back at the sky while he continued to look at her.
The last of the fireworks slowly fizzled out and faded into black.
But passion had already been ignited.
"Beautiful" He whispered again.
Although this time, Megumi was sure he wasn't talking about the fireworks
