Chapter 1
Hub Meets The Fer Family
Ding-dongs are creatures with shiny golden fur. They have very big eyes and are peaceful creatures. They live in the land of Rikop off the coast of Trevbo.
One day, a young ding-dong named Hub went on a walk in the park. All of a sudden, a giant bird swooped down and picked him up. He struggled to get free but could not.
The creature holding him flew higher, taking Hub with it. Three hours later, it landed in a huge nest on a cliffside. It was about to feed Hub to its babies when a pebble flew out of nowhere and hit it on the head.
The bird dropped Hub and looked around, dazed. A gruff voice whispered to Hub," Come on, get out of there."
Hub ran out of the nest and into the bush where the voice was coming from. In the bush there was a mole. "This way," it said, pulling him into a hole.
As they ran through the tunnels, Hub introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Hub."
" The name's Raynor Fer, nice to meet ya."
All of a sudden, they entered a large cavern. Raynor said," This is my home. Meet Bessy, me wife, Tony, me dad, and Triskay, me daughter, she turned 3 last month."
"Hello," said Hub, "nice to meet you. Where are we???"
We're in Sawref." Said Raynor.
"Do you know how to get to Treybo?" asked Hub.
"No, bot Gemini does."
"Who's Gemini???" asked Hub.
"Gemini is an otter, and a swift one at that." Said Bessy.
"I' you don' watch youaself he'll take your nosey right off," said Triskay," That's wat Daddy sayses."
"YOU BIG BUFFON, HAVE YOU BEEN TELLING HER THINGS LIKE THAT AGAIN!!" Bessy yelled at Raynor.
"We better get going to Gemini." Said Rayor hurrying out the door followed by Hub, Bessy still yelling her head off.
