Summary: Mai-Li is the daughter Sasori Akasuna. She is a kunoichi from Suna, who is haunted by a masked man, she has a secret that no know's about. But thou The Chuuin Exams, Naruto finds out about it and helps her with her problem. But is Naruto felling for her.
|Ch 1| The Nightmare
She was running, she didn't know were but she did know that she was being chased by something, something evil. she wasn't watching the path in front of her and she tripped on a root, hitting her head on a rock, the warm blood dripped down her now slipped opened forehead, she looked up to see the evil thing that was chasing her, but it was no thing it was a man with black hair and was wearing an orange mask with one eye hold.
For the first time in her life (since her mother's death) she was scared, she closed her eyes "ku...ku...ku I can smell your fear little one, just like your mother and your father but he became just other puppet in my plan's and soon you will join me, till then Sayonara (goodbye) little one ku..Ku...ku...ku" he whispered in her ear before he kissed her forehead and dispersed.
"!" she woke up screaming, stands of her short, black hair with pink tips were sticking to her forehead, "Mai-Li are you alright hon." an old woman's voice said, her purple eye turned to the door to see her great grandmother, she was wearing her night dress and hat, "l' m fine granny Chiyo, just a nightmare" Mai-Li said with a smile, Chiyo looked at her granddaughter for a second before sighing "ok Mai-Li I think you should go back to sleep, remember you leave to go the chuuin exam's tomorrow, Oyasumi nasai (good night)" Chiyo said leaving. Mai-Li's smile turned into a frown, that same dream had be haunting her since her mother's death which was about 5 years ago and now she was a afraid to sleep for she know if she did the same man will come back, the only who knows about her nightmare was her great grandmother and her best friend Temari, Mai-Li let out a long sigh looking at the clock hang on her bedroom wall '5:30am, well maybe l could sleep for an hour before l go to train' Mai-Li though, laying back on her bed she turned over on her side, "oh, Otou-san (father) I wish you and Kaa-san (mother) were here with me" Mai-Li whispered as a tears slipped form her eyes.
-Somewhere in a dark cave in Rain Country-
Alone teen sat on a rock the rain poured down his blood red hair soaking wet form the rain his soft brown eyes look up to the rising dawn sky 'Auora-chan, I wish I could see you and Mai-Li, you knew I was doing it to keep you safe, I do wish I could be there with you, to hold you, to hear you say "I love you" again, to see Mai-Li grow up and see her smile, but I do promised you this I will fight this and get to hear you laugh once more, for Sassari no Akasuna all always keeps his promised' Sasori thought as a wet salt tear fell form his eye with a small smile.
