Chapter 1
"Sakura-hime! Please put your dress on, your father, is waiting for you." I looked at my servant, I smiled and nodded. I was to meet my fiancé tonight. Im 16 years today, which means I am to be wed by tomorrow night. It always been this way. I was a beautiful princess, but I was a slave to my future. "Okay, Hinata, ill be down in a couple of minutes." She stared at me and went on her way. I dreamt of my prince, ive always imagined him being nice, kind, and a gorgeous man. Once dressed, i went downstairs and everyone stared as i announced myself, "My name is Sakura Haruno, Pleased to meet you." Everyone smiled at me. At the top of our stairs i smiled and looked at all the people, everyone was happy to see me. Except, for a strange man in the back, his hair was raven onyx, and he wore all black. It made me sad to even look at him.
The party seemed to go on forever, my mother and father introduced me to everyone, except my prince. But before my mother could announce how i am to be married, that's when i first heard his voice. "Are you the Princess?" I turned around, I gasped. It was the man dressed in all black. "Yes, but... Who are you?" He smiled at me. "Ah, your mother didn't introduce me to you-" It was like a dagger in my heart, the way he said it was like he hated the royal family, especially my mother, the queen. "-My name is Sasuke Uchiha, Your fiancé." I smiled out of politeness, "Well, pleased to meet your aquantice Sasuke-sama." I whispered and walked away. I went strait to my room, he was no prince charming. I was ready to burst into tears even before i met him, but this just pulled the trigger.
I ran onto my bed, and that's when i really started to cry. I always cried when i was sad. "Princess-sama?" It was my best friend, Naruto, my father took him in as a child, since his parents abandoned him. Naruto had spiky blonde hair, his eyes were a bright blue. I looked at him, and wiped my eyes. "Sorry, Naruto-kun. I just want to be alone." He sat on my bedside. "Well, I guess ill have to carry you back down to your party if you don't mind." He smiled at me. I laughed. Naruto always made me laugh. "You wouldn't dare touch royal blood." I tested him, Naruto was always teasing me, it was so unfair. He grinned at me and tickled my sides, i burst out laughing. "Naruto-kun... haha.... stop... p-plea-ah haha!"
"Well, well, well, i guess our princess has a slutty side." We both looked towards the door. It was Sasuke. Me and Naruto moved away from each other. His head was bowed down, I looked at Sasuke as he walked over to Naruto. "What the hell do you think you were doing touching my property." Naruto was angry, he clenched his fists and his veins were brought close to the surface. Sasuke smirked as he slammed Naruto to the ground. "N-naruto-kun..." I shrieked.
Sasuke stared at me, his eyes were as black as night. He walked over to me as i braced myself. He took my hand and brought it up to his mouth, and kissed it. My guard dropped and my face turned red. "Shall we go back to the party, Sakura-hime?" I nodded and started to walk out the door, i gave Naruto a last look. His face was bleeding and his eye was bruised. He looked disgraced. My mother was waiting for us, as we walked down the long stairway, I frowned and broke away from his grasp. "Excuse me!" I yelled getting everyone's attention. My father and mother ran up to us. "What are you doing, Sakura-sama?" My mother demanded. I smiled at them. "We are to be having a tournament, tomorrow, and whoever wins, i am to be wed." I announced. My father and mother looked at each other and agreed, "Yes, a tournament is great. To he who wants my daughters hand in holy matrimony is to win the tourney."
