Regina walked through the Storybrooke stables. She didn't allow herself to touch the horses or even look at them for more than a few seconds. In all the years that she had lived here, she had never ridden a horse here. She supported the stables financially, but they weren't a place she wanted to be.
She hadn't been there since she had killed the thing Daniel had become. The thing she had made Daniel become.
Regina had tried to bury the feelings about Daniel. She pushed them down as far as she could. Grief. After all these years she could still experience the feelings she felt that day, when her mother killed her him.

With her heart in the possession of Zelena, she wasn't sure how to express what she was feeling, or how she thought she should be feeling. She wondered if this is what her mother had gone through when she had chosen to hide her own heart away.
Now her past, or rather her family's past, was catching up with her again.
And she couldn't help but wonder what it would cost her this time.
