Hey, guys! It's booklover3145. This is my first fanfic, so it might be absolutely horrible, plz tell me in the reviews, NO FLAMES PLZZZZZ! I also will probably write fanfics for Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, and right now I am OBSESSED with HTTYD.

Set after HTTYD 1.

Anyway, without further ado…

Wait a Second….

"Ugh, where is Hiccup! We've been waiting for, like, 20 hours!" Ruffnut said, exasperated.

"We've actually only been waiting for 1 hour," said Fishlegs. "But it is strange. He's usually the first one at the Academy."

Astrid, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Snotlout, and their respective dragons were all waiting at the Academy for today's special training exercise: how to fight on the backs of dragons using weapons that they were not familiar with.

Personally, Astrid thought that was kind of dumb, and she wanted to use her axe, but Hiccup had said you never know when you might end up with a weapon you weren't familiar with, so here they were! Astrid was using a sword, Fishlegs was using a mace, Snotlout was using a dagger, and the twins were using axes. Hiccup (still) couldn't use a weapon, so he was monitoring with Toothless.

Snotlout snorted. "If he doesn't show up soon, I'm gonna kick his butt so bad, he won't be able to-"

"There he is!" Astrid cut him off. "What took you so long?!" she said as he landed and dismounted off Toothless.

"Sorry, I, um, I had to take Toothless for a walk, no, a fly because we, um sorta forgot….?" Hiccup trailed of as Toothless stared at him, obviously with an expression that said Seriously? You're gonna pawn this off on me? Fine! He promptly whacked hiccup with his tail.

"OW! Hey!" he shouted. Toothless lifted an eyebrow. "Well, I mean,..." Hiccup scratched the back of his neck. "Ok, fine! I forgot to make the weapons for this class, so I had to do it last minute. You happy now?" he said to Toothless.

"Man, I could watch this all day." said Tuffnut.

"Pure comedy gold." Ruffnut agreed.

"Guys?" Astrid raised an eyebrow.

"Right, sorry." said Tuffnut.

"Anyway." Hiccup said while unloading the weapons. "Here just pick the one you were assigned. Here you go Astrid, Fishlegs, this one's yours Snotlout." he handed Snotlout the dagger.

"Wait a second!" Ruffnut exclaimed. She put her thumb up.

"What?" Hiccup questioned.

Ruffnut laughed. "I can't believe I never noticed it before!"

"Woah, you're right!" Astrid said. Fishlegs was cracking up while Tuffnut simply looked dumbfounded, but happy.

"What is it?" said Snotlout.

"Hiccup's taller than you!" Astrid said.

"What? No he's not…" Snotlout trailed off as he realized he had to look up to talk to Hiccup.

"Woah!" smiled Hiccup. "Now I'm tall! How're you doing down there Snotlout!"

"He's 3 whole thumbs taller!" said Fishlegs said.

"No, I'm not!" Snotlout exclaimed.

"You're right!" Astrid said. "It's more like 4!" Snotlout scowled while the others laughed.

"I just remembered. I have to go help my dad, um, count his, uh, weapons. I've got to go." Snotlout stormed off.

"Ok then." Hiccup tried to keep from laughing. "Let's begin. Ruffnut, you're with Fishlegs…"

Astrid couldn't help noticing that Hiccup stood a bit straighter the rest of the day.
