A/N: Just to warn you all, I'm not a huge fan of GreeceJapan (I support it but I'm not a fan fan) so I'm not sure how well-written this is in terms of keeping in character. When I'm not passionate about what I'm writing, I tend to be slightly lax in areas like that. All-in-all, I think I did a good job, though, but I'll wait to see what you fans have to say.
Heracles opened his eyes to another beautiful morning. The scent of cherry blossoms filled his nose and the sound of wind chimes rang in his ears, welcoming him to yet another day in Japan. The young Greek smiled contentedly down at his companion. Surely, today would be another good day.
Kiku was still sleeping soundly, with his head resting gently on Heracles' toned chest. Seeing Kiku like that made him happy. Kiku tended to be shy and mornings generally started with him awkwardly shirking off Heracles' embrace. Heracles chuckled to himself as he wondered how Kiku would react when he realized that he had been the clingy sleeper for once.
Heracles ran his hand gently though Kiku's hair, thinking about the night before. He closed his eyes and thought back to the taste of Kiku's lips, the shy look on Kiku's face as he disrobed him, the soft glow of Kiku's skin in the moonlight, the soothing warmth of Kiku's body pressed against his own…
"What are you thinking about?" Kiku asked.
Heracles looked down to see Kiku awake, studying his face. "Nothing, Kiku-kun," Heracles responded simply.
"You can't lie about such things," Kiku heaved a sigh as he sat up. "I know that look. You were thinking about sex." Blushing, he grabbed his clothes from where they'd been carelessly tossed aside the night before and started to clothe himself. "How shameful, having such dirty thoughts so early in the morning."
Heracles reached out and cupped Kiku's chin in his hand, brushing his thumb over Kiku's lips gently. He responded, "There's nothing wrong with thinking about tender moments with the one you care about."
"…" Kiku didn't respond. He knew he didn't need to. He just smiled in response.
"Suki desu, Kiku-kun," Heracles whispered affectionately.
"…Boku mou," Kiku answered. "But shouldn't you be going home soon?"
"Do you want to be rid of me that desperately?" Heracles raised a brow.
"No, of course not. I just think it's a bad idea for you to stay away from your homeland for so long. You've been here for nearly a month now," Kiku explained.
"I'll go home soon," Heracles assured. He gently pulled Kiku down on top of him and kissed him on the lips. "Will you come with me?"
"I-I…" Kiku studdered.
"Just for a little while," Heracles insisted. "You've come for a visit before. Why is this time any different?"
"Heracles-san… we need to talk…" Kiku sighed.
"What is it?" Heracles asked.
"We live in entirely different countries – different continents, in fact…" Kiku began.
"I don't feel that our relationship is hindered any by our cultural differences," Heracles stated.
"I don't feel that way either. It's just… our homelands are so far away from each other… and neither one of us should be away from home for as long as we have been lately. I'm just worried… that we've gotten too serious about this…" Kiku said.
"You don't like the fact that we've gotten serious?" Heracles asked. His tone was as neutral as it always was but Kiku could tell he was hurt.
"Suki desu. I really do… but when I start feeling torn between my loyalty to my home country and my loyalty to you, I know there's a serious problem," Kiku frowned.
Heracles just smiled softly and kissed him again. "I understand. Just please tell me that this isn't the end."
"Of course not," Kiku responded.
"Then you'll come home with me…?" Heracles asked.
"… Okay… but just for a few days…" Kiku consented.
