A/N: This is a poem I did for my English poetry unit. I found it when I was reading Fruits Basket, and it just reminded me of the relationship between Kyo and Akito. So I decide to revise it and post it.. It reminded me of the relationship between Yuki and Akito too. But when I read my revised one, it reminded me more of Kyo. So Enjoy! And special thanks to my best friend who gave me the inspiration!
Criticism
All day you call me names,
Yell at me,
Telling me to improve.
You say I'm not good enough,
Not strong enough.
Nothing I say,
Nothing I do,
Ever makes you happy.
You know everything,
At least you think you do.
But you don't understand,
How hard it is to be different,
How hard it is to be myself,
How hard it is to live in this society.
You continually put me down and hurt me emotionally,
With your sharp, cruel comments.
But no matter how you criticise me,
I'll never stop to being who I am.
SO STOP TRYING TO CONTROL MY LIFE!
Even though you're the most important existance of this family.
Please just let me be...
Let me be happy.
