AN: So, this idea struck me whilst walking along my road on a Sunday morning, listening to "T-Shirt" by Shontelle (listen to it, s'gooood!)
Still stuck on my other fic, "I wish it was me you chose". HELP ME!!!

"Tosh! A word please?"
She shrugged slightly at the rest of the team. Jack had been back for a day and the team still had no idea where he'd been or why he'd left. She stood slowly and ascended the stairs as the others continued with their work, also known as covering for the mess John Hart had made...

"Jack?"
Tosh popped her head around the door and smiled warmly at Jack. Like the rest, she was glad to have him back. He grinned slightly at her and nodded her into the room.

"Close the door"
She did so and took a seat on the other side of Jacks desk. Silence filled the small room for what felt like ages, but was only about a minute. Jack sighed and leaned forwards, steepling his fingers under his chin and resting his elbows on the desk.
"You're the only one I can really ask.."
He hesitated and Toshiko frowned a little, slightly worried.
"First of all... How is everyone?"
Tosh nodded, leaning back in her seat. She smiled at the Captain.
"We're all fine... glad to have you back but, fine. We coped pretty well without you actually, Owen was a great leader... although... Ianto was good too..."

Jack glanced up at the mention of the Welshmans name, "Ianto..?"

"Yeah, he really has some way of manipulating people... Sometimes, it felt more like Ianto was in charge and Owen was simply carrying out orders.."
Jack laughed slightly, "Yeah, sounds like Yan..."

He hesitated again, which was not at all like Jack.
"Tosh... how was Ianto..?"

She bit her lip slightly, thinking.

"He was... really good... I mean, he excelled at work, really getting involved with fieldwork, really became independent, like you being away was a driving force but.."
Jack frowned slightly
"..But?"

"But, he never came out with us in the evenings. He just stayed in the Hub or went home. Never came to the pub, just seemed to close up again..."
"What was he doing in the Hub...? Filing?
"I guess... filing, archiving, tidying... I don't really know..."

Had either of them realised Ianto was just the other side of the door, coffee mugs in hand, they probably would have been more careful, a little quieter...
Ianto laughed softly, sadness in his eyes. Filing? Archiving? No, the nights Ianto had stayed at the Hub, he had slipped down to Jacks room. Had sat on the bed, just... thinking, remembering. And once (although there was no way he would tell Jack, let alone Tosh) he had curled up in the bed, hugging Jacks pillow, burying himself in the scent of the man he loved. The man he hated.
