More Than a Thank You

"Mako, Mako!" Bolin called. The young eleven year old was once again out on the streets, looking for his older brother. He still hadn't returned to their make shift home for the past eight weeks. His brother would never abandon him he knew that, so the worst came to Bolin's mind. He was worried that his brother was somewhere hurt or like their parents.

"Mako, Mako, Mako!" he continued to call out.

Korra, the seventeen year old Avatar was riding Naga through the streets of Republic City when she heard a voice calling a name over and over again. She halted Naga. "Whoa, Naga. Hold on girl." She looked around. "What is that?"

Korra then had the polar bear dog head in the direction of the boy. They crossed a few steps and ran past a few Sato cars to make it into a back alley. Naga stopped directly in front a small orphan that was calling out the name Mako. The boy was frightened falling back on his butt.

"Don't worry, Naga won't hurt you," Korra assured the young boy. She slid off of the dog's back and walked up to the boy. She extended her hand out toward the boy. "My name is Korra and I'm the Avatar. Why don't you tell me what's the matter?"

"The Avatar?" the young boy said. The homeless boy's eyes grew big with them sparkling at the sight of her.

Korra chuckled. "That's right." The boy finally took her hand and she pulled him back onto his feet. She quickly brushed off his clothing as if she were a mother. "So, why do you keep calling out this Mako name and what's your name by the way?"

The boy putted his hands on his chest. "My name is Bolin. And Mako is my older brother, but I haven't been able to find him. It's been a very long time since I've seen him."

"Well, how about I help you?" Korra offered.

"Really?"

Korra pointed to herself. "Sure, I am the Avatar after all. I'm sure if we work together we can find your big brother."

Bolin interlocked his hands in front of himself with an admiring look in his eyes. "Yes, thank you."

Korra and Bolin rode on Naga as the sun started to set. "It doesn't look like your brother is here either," Korra said.

Bolin looked down. "We'll never find him."

Korra looked back at the boy. "Don't say that. Look how about we go back to Air Temple Island for now. We can get you something to eat and start again in the morning."

Bolin nodded.

Bolin had entered Korra's room adjusting his new clothing to fit him more comfortably. It had been two weeks since Korra had found Bolin on the streets and tried to help him find his brother. So far they hadn't had any luck so Korra had decided to ask Tenzin about making Bolin an Air Acolyte so he could have a safe place to stay.

Korra closed the door behind him. She turned around to face the young Air Acolyte. "So how have you've been enjoying yourself here on the island?"

"A lot, thank you," Bolin said.

Korra walked up to the boy and placed her hands on the young boy's shoulder. "I'm actually looking for more than just a thank you."

"What do you mean?" Bolin asked. Korra leaned down and kissed the boy on the cheek. Bolin blushed. Korra held his head still with her hands and kissed him on the lips. She lowered one of her heads down to grab his crotch.

Bolin leaped back and yelped. "What are you doing?" Bolin felt hot and embarrassed and didn't know why.
