She was his Glorious Pond, his flame haired angel. Usually someone would freak out after being launched into space while being dangerously grabbed by the foot to keep herself from drifting off but not Pond, not Amelia Jessica Pond.
A force field surrounded the Tardis, allowing oxygen to be trapped. That was one of the new safety measures Eleven added to his camouflaged blue police box. Anywhere in the space, the world, a blue box would be the perfect camouflage.
It felt silly now. But he couldn't help it.
Eleven pulled Amy in and she grabbed him, almost lost her balance and giggled.
"That was amazing," she said when she found her voice.
"You're not scared at all Amelia." Eleven said "It's not like that crack on your bedroom wall."
"I'm Amy now. Amelia is so fairytale." Amy reaffirmed.
"But you're a fairy tale" Eleven teased and then changed the subjected. He ran back to the console and Amy skipped after him.
"I hate that crack. It feels like it has secrets. My secrets and I don't know what."
"When we find out what it is, we'll deal with it together. Well Amy, I promised you a planet and here we are." Eleven said quickly changing the subject. Cracks on the fabric of time and space he would deal with later. "This is Planet Alpha Arietis. I hear they make nice apple pies."
"Apple pies. What are apple pies doing out on another planet." Amy frowned and poked him. "And you hate apples."
"Oh you know some inhabitants visited earth, cultural exchange that sort of thing." Eleven rambled on. "Plus my taste buds are finally working right. Okay, now Miss Amy Pond" He put out his hand.
"Yes Doctor," Amy winked.
"Are you ready to explore a new world?"
"Of course." she gave him his hand.
And that's how they all began.
