Flower Petals

A relationship gone horribly wrong, no it was wrong from the moment it began.

Night fell on Suna and the temperature dropped dramtically. A steady cool breeze blew through the village. Inside the Kazekage's mansion, salty tears fell from blue eyes and ran down soft cheeks. The blond haired kunoichi held a pink desert flower in her fragile hands as she leaned on her wndow seal with her window open. "She loves me. She loves me not." After each verse she plucked a delicate petal from the stem and relased it into the night. Finally, her pale fingers plucked the last peal from the stem.

"She loves me not." The sand ninja twirled the bare stem in her fingers as she stared at the last petal. She repeated "She loves me not."

Morning came. The bright sun shown over the duns of the desert, The Kazekage, a young red headed boy walked swiftly down the hall towards his sisters room. His older sister Temari had neglected her paperwork once again and he was coming to scold her.

Angrily, he threw open the door only to see his sister sprawled out on the floor covered in blood and a slit throat. In her right hand wasa bloodied kunai and on her desk was a note, a suicide note.

Shock was written on Gaar's face. "Kankuro!" he screamed as if he were a helpless child. Before the middle child arrived Gaara had clutched his sister in his arms and for the second time in his fifteen years, lost control of his emotions. Tear fell from his eyes and he sobbed.

When Kankuro arrived he was overtaken by shock and sadness. She sad with Gaara, both clutching her corpse sobbing. She was dead, her life taken by herself.
