Nightmares stood stone still beside her mother and half-brother. Her father, who was the leader of the Shadowbolts was doing the scan, a ceremony type thing that the leader performed to see how many he had in his group, and to check for weak links in any of the families. Personally Nightmares hated this, because she had to get in her uniform, and spend hours brushing her mane in the morning. She stood with a straight face as her father walked by his family, only daring to breath once he was a few families away.
