When I look at you
My heart fills with anticipation,
Will today be the day?
When I hear your footsteps approaching,
I cross my fingers hopefully
Will today be the day?
When I smell the cologne you wear,
I smile at how heavenly the scent is.
Will today be the day?
When you run your fingers through my hair,
I know that you want to talk to me.
Will today be the day?
When I taste the delicious ice cream you brought me,
When I feel your arms around me,
When I smell the flowers you happened to have,
When I hear your soft-spoken words,
When I look into your bright almond eyes,
Today is the day.
I love you, too.
