Note: So my little cousin (though she's not that little any more!) wrote this for me to publish after we watched Big Hero 6 together this week. She loves it as much as I do, I dare say. I've also successfully taught her to be a shameless hurt/comfort and protective sibling writer. Henceforth, I was proud when she showed me this short story, and as promised, I have published it, without changing anything. Story written by Summer, 12 years old.

Tadashi and Hiro were walking home from school. As they approached the large, busy road Tadashi lectured Hiro on the importance of road safety, like always.

"You need to look left and right BEFORE you cross AND WHILE you cross. Never cross between parked cars and DON'T run!"

"I know, I know," sighed Hiro, "you tell me everytime!"

"It's just to keep you safe! You'll thank me one day. Anyway Aunt Cass would kill me if I let anyth- Hiro? Hiro!"

Hiro was running across the road, not looking left and right and between parked cars.

"Hiro, come back here NOW!"

Hiro looked back at Tadashi as a car came speeding towards him.

"I'm fi-" shouted Hiro but as he said it the car knocked him back onto the pavement. He lay there motionless as the car drove on, apparently unaware that it had just hit a small, curly haired boy.

Meanwhile Tadashi ran across the road (ignoring his own rules) to see what had happened to Hiro.

"Hiro," Tadashi shouted. He knelt beside him and tried to assess him for injuries.

"Be calm Tadashi, be calm. It's probably not as bad as you think." Whispered Tadashi to himself.

"W-what h-h-happened?" stuttered Hiro in a confused manner.

"Oh thank goodness you're alive!" said Tadashi, embracing his little brother tightly. The two hugged for a long time while passerbys stopped and stared at the 2 young boys hugging in the street. But they didn't notice. As they slowly separated Tadashi noticed that Hiro's leg was in a strange, unnatural position.

"What happened to your leg?" exclaimed Tadashi. How had he not noticed it before?

"Now that I think about it, it hurts quite a lot!" Hiro said wincing.

"It's my fault Hiro, I'm so sorry. I distracted you. I think we should call Aunt Cass because she'll be getting worried that we're not back yet." whispered Tadashi so the crowds couldn't hear. "We also need to get your leg sorted!"

Tadashi called his and Hiro's aunt and proceeded to get shouted at down the phone.

"Told you she would kill me!" Said Tadashi laughing.
