13th October: Monday

The only day where Xephos wished he weren't at school. Pretty much everyone in form 4-D, consisting of 20-odd seniors and freshmen, hated Mondays… who didn't. Honeydew, Lalna, Inthelittlewood, Rythian, Zoeya, Saberial (Fiona), Ridgedog, Alsmiffy, Trottimus, Djh3max (Also known as the Hatters), Lomadia, Sips, Sjin, Nilesy, HybridPanda, Turpster and Nanosounds were the other seniors. There was also Zoeya's little freshman brother Teep. Teep had to be in her form because he was mute and only she could understand him. The form was filled with lots of complicated relationships. Rythian and Lalna were Friends who wanted to kill each other. Nanosounds and Lalna were dating, Sips and Sjin in a relationship, much like Zoeya and Fiona who usually double dated with Sips and Sjin. But the one Xephos shared his heart with was Lomadia.

The thing about everyone was that they each had something weird about them. Alsmiffy although everyone referred to him as Smiffy, was a little bit greener than the rest of us, not like sickly green, but more of a leafy green. Djh3max or Ross to everyone was always covered in more hair than others, at some time during the month, mainly around the full moon. Trottimus had bigger canines than the average human and would be seen in the boy's bathroom shaving this face regularly, like his facial hair had grown a few centimetres in a few hours. Whenever Lomadia would sing, a flock of owls of different species would come from miles to surround her. This was the same for Fiona but with goats. Ridgedog seemed to have to ability to float, but it only happened when he jumped, and it didn't look like floating, he just stayed in the air longer when he jumped. Inthelittlewood also known as Martyn could make small trees grow a few inches if he stayed by them long enough. Whenever it rained, water from the ground would be attracted to Nilesy and form great big puddles around his feet. HybridPanda would grow fur tremendously fast and his hands would fatten up to look like paws if he kept the fur there long enough. Teep was the same, but he grew tough skin and the occasional scale, and his hands shrunk to look like claws. This only happened to them for a few hours, then the next time Xephos saw them, they would look normal. Zoeya grew small mushrooms whenever she walked without shoes on. Because of this, she calls herself Mushroomy. Rythian had glowing eyes and could control these little creatures called Enders.

Enders were like teleporting people, but extremely small. Enders are extremely rare and it always amazed everyone when 10-16 Enders came to surround Rythian. Not to mention that he always had a muffled talk because of the scarf he wore wherever he went. Turpster or Turps was normal when it came to looking and acting like a normal person, but he was able to change his clothing so it looked like something from the 18th century. Sips would always grow small piles of dirt when he stood still for too long. Sjin grew a mighty moustache that would always twitch whenever he saw mahogany. Honeydew was a small dwarf-like person that when he would be asked to dig something, he would have done it within 10 seconds flat, but he never stopped digging, even when he was supposed to have stopped hours ago. Lalna was a great genius, he had a much higher IQ than anyone in the school, but for his smarts he had to have clumsiness. He could build a nuclear bomb, and set it to anywhere, but his clumsiness almost got him killed last time he did build a bomb. Nanosounds possessed an actual power. Her body, mainly her left arm, was infused with flux. Lalna created a device to absorb the flux and contain it. But because of his said clumsiness, the device backfired and caused Nano's flux to change form. Since then, Nano has gained control over the flux; she can now transform her arm into any tool and weapon she pleases. Xephos was different though, he was just taller than everyone, lanky and much clumsier that Lalna.

What really annoyed them was the fact that they each had to find ways to hid their differences. People like Ross, Trott, Sjin and Panda, had to continuously shaved their faces to hide their abilities. Teep wore a dragon onesie at all times. Zoeya was never seen without something on her feet. Turps never changed outfits and Smiffy had to put kilos of makeup on to hid his greenness. Nano always wore long sleeved-shirts and gloves. But some couldn't hide it, like Sips. Whenever he was stuck in a test, piles of dirt formed around him and his papers, which made it hard to read his answers.

At least Xephos was stuck in a form filled with 'Freaks' as the others called them, and it was easier for him to gain friends. Xephos walked into his form room, having to bend down the slightest bid just to fit through the door. Mr Sparkles started doing the role call and continued to ramble on about the day's notices. Xephos sat next to his two best friends, Honeydew and Lalna.

"Hey guys" Xephos said as he sat in the small chair that was positioned between the two males

"Heya Xeph" Both called in unison.

"Did you guys hear about that little camping trip Ridge is inviting us to? It is located somewhere on his uncles private beach, here I'll show you." Lalna chirped as he tapped on his phone looking for a map. Oh God. Not Ridge Xephos thought to himself. Ridge was the high and mighty soccer player who was only a few feet shorter that Xephos. Ridge and Sips were the two big players on the team. Sips was tremendously shorter that Ridge, but was slightly muscular than Ridge, maybe that is why Sjin, the very tall skinny boy, fell for Sips. Sips usually played offence, due to his bulkiness, while Ridge was an attacker.

"Do you know if Lomadia is going?" Ask Xephos to his smaller, less destructive friend. Honeydew was about to answer when the end of form bell rang.

"Finally!" yelled Mr Sparkles before he exited the room. Everyone stared at the door of our form room and then just started talking and asking each other questions about the beach-camping trip, since it was just the morning bell, and not the actual departure bell. Ridge stood up onto his desk and explained everything that was happening. The location was a private beach a few hours drive from our school. We needed to bring all of our camping equipment and lots of food to share. Well, now I've got to go shopping for camping equipment. Xephos wasn't the type of person to go camping, so the experience was going to be new to him. The students of form 4-D decided to head for their first period lessons, which was 'Technology and Enterprise' for Xephos. As he was walking out, Xephos felt a strong hand grab his shoulder. He turned to see Ridge was looking at him

"Are you coming camping? It'll be fuuuuuunnnnn," Ridge said with a little too much enthusiasm for Xephos' liking. "Yeah, sure. I'll be there," and Xephos was out of the form room and into his TE class before he knew it.

The rest of the day was normal for Xephos and his friends. Lunch however was a different story. Xephos usually sat with Honeydew, Lalna and his girlfriend, Nano on one side of the table. On the other side was Rythian; eyeing off Lalna, again, Inthelittlewood, and Sjin with his boyfriend. Xephos always had a seat next to him free, which most of the time was occupied by Fiona with Zoeya on her lap, Turps, or Teep. But today Zoeya and Fiona were sitting on their own table, Turps was with the Hatters and Teep just slightly hovered over Zoeya. Xephos was enjoying lunch, listening to Lalna build things and Nano helping as best she could. Most of the time she would change her flux into a tool Lalna needed, or if he needed a source of power, she would create a small purple orb and guide it to the battery area. Sips and Sjin were making out and Honeydew was 'keeping watch' for any teachers, because at our school, couples aren't really allowed to show affection. Rythian continues to eye of Lalna and Inthelittlewood was nurturing a small pot of soil, and a sprouting. Xephos wasn't really concentrating when he felt soft hands and arms wrap around his neck.

"Hey there Darling," was heard as Xephos lifted his head to look up at his beautiful girlfriend. When Xephos had acknowledged she was here, Lomadia planted a peck on his cheek. She then sat down next to Xephos and began to become slightly disgusted by the little show Sips and Sjin was showing everyone. Lomadia turned her head to talk to Xephos at the exact time Xephos turned his head to talk to her. Lalna had at some time during the turning phase, knocked Xephos on the back and caused his and Lomadia's lips to collide with each other. The two retreated their lips and turned back forward both red in the face and eyes closed. Both had their heads down facing the table. Lomadia opened her eyes and took a deep breath.

Xephos opened his eyes and saw Ridge from behind Sips. Ridge was facing Xephos with his lips puckered in a mocking way. He then kissed his hand and blew Xephos a kiss. Xephos soon became red with fury, embarrassment and lust. What, I actually like Ridgedog. A male soccer player, sending me a kiss. With this thought in his head, Xephos grabbed Lomadia's face, turned it to his and stuck his lips onto her lips. Lomadia's eye widened in surprise and she pushed herself off of Xephos, panting from the surprised lack of air. She then grabbed the collar of Xephos' blue and white striped shirt and pulled HIM into a kiss. She stuck her tongue into his mouth and continued to kiss him, eyes closed. Xephos then stuck his tongue into her mouth and were fighting for dominance. Xephos got his hand around to Lomadia's back and pulled her in, so that they were now chest on chest, both with their eyes closed. Xephos was lost in a dream and hadn't realised that Honeydew had called out the warning.

"TEACHER! TEACHER!" Sips and Sjin halted their kissing in time, but Xephos and Lomadia hadn't heeded the warning, let alone heard it. Mr Zylus wrenched Xephos off of Lomadia by the back of his collar.

"Xephos! Principal's office! NOW!" Mr Zylus yelled and dropped Xephos onto the ground. Xephos fell onto his ass and scrambled up to his feet. He walked the long halls and down to the Principal's office. He found the room and entered inside

"Principal Flax, Mr Zylus sent me to see you" Xephos said as he entered into his office.

"Yes, he sent me a message saying you were 'furiously kissing' another student, Lomadia, I think her name was." Principal Flax replied

"I wouldn't call it 'furiously kissing' more like making out, and it isn't very fair that we aren't allowed to show affection to our girl or boyfriends." Xephos exclaimed and argued with the principal

"Well maybe this will change your mind Xephos," Principal Flax said as he stood up from his seat and walked over to Xephos.

"I think that…" Principal Flax was now face to face with Xephos "My son has finally had his first kiss, and got in trouble for it." Principal Flax said as he lifted his son off the ground and hugging him with his rather broad shoulders.

"Dad! Stop hugging me, the reason you gave me the fake last name was so no one thought we were family. Remember?" Xephos asked as he pulled himself off of his father

Pyrion Flax straitened his jacket, "Yes, I know. Give you a different last name so that nobody realises that we are family and that I might give you special treatment. Well can you at least give your old man a hug?" he asked, opening his arms and motioning for Xephos to come in for a hug with his hands.

Without hesitation, Xephos walked up to his father and gave him a hug. It was weird because his father was smaller than Xephos, which caused his head to be against his son's chest. Without a knock on the door, Mrs Ferazhim walked into the room

"Pyrion, I printed those… why are you hugging a student?" she asked as she walked into the doorway. Xephos and Pyrion looked at Mrs Ferazhim. The two men let go of each other and Xephos' dad dismissed him and started to explain to Mrs Ferazhim that that was his son.

As Xephos was walking back to his locker, his father text him.

"You can go home if u want, just tell ur friends that you got suspended"

"Thanks Dad. Oh, forgot to tell u I'll be away for the long weekend. Ridgedog has asked all our form if we'd like to go camping" Xephos replied as he got his books from his locker and started to pack his bag

"Sure thing, just let me know if you want me to pick u up or drop u off. Wait, never mind, u got ur car. Well you'll need money to get food for ur friends and some camping equipment, use your time of school to get ur stuff sorted. I've put money into ur bank account. Have fun."

Well there go all my problems Xephos thought as he picked up his bag.

He closed his locker door and almost hit his head on the roof when he got a fright from Ridge.

"Where you going there lover boy?" he asked in a mocking tone.

"Principal Flax has suspended me until tomorrow morning, so I'm going shopping for camping supplies." Xephos answered as he started heading towards the school exit. He then realised Ridge was following behind him.

"I'll come with. You'll need help with picking out the right tent size for yourself." Xephos thought this was madness. Ridge had always ignored him and would act as if he didn't exist.
