We don't have names, special abilities, or memorable faces.

We're not ANBU, yet we still blend into the background.

We're unnamed, unimportant, expendable.

We're the ones who rush in, whether it be foolishly or heroically, and are immediately cut down.

We alert the Hokage and/or higher-ups of attacks.

We hold off enemies until the real heroes can arrive.

We don't come home so that they know something is wrong.

We weed out the children incapable of accepting their role as nameless or hero-like respectively.

We guard the walls and are the first to fall.

We hold places where there are gaps in teams.

We take the first blow to keep the heroes safe.

We stop the bad guys by strengthening the hero's resolve.

We take care of all the unimportant missions that sustain Konoha.

We're the shinobi that mark the highest loss without ruining a hero's heart.

We balance the prodigies, weak to strong.

We distract powerful men until the smart ones can think of a solution.

We influence from the sidelines, unnoticed or almost forgotten.

We follow orders blindly, sometimes just to keep the story going.

We make up the crowd to cheer on the hero.

We spread the rumors that begin big changes.

We notice the small things that only matter in the long run.

We carry back evidence of foul-play so that the heroes can act on it.

We sacrifice our lives for no obvious purpose.

We create milestones in lives destined to change the world.

We do the dirty work to keep the heroes pure.

We accept our roles.

We know our place.

We are nameless.

We are unimportant.

We are expendable.

The one thing we're not is unnecessary.

One thing I never claimed to be is not random. And eloquent. I'm certainly not that either. XD Don't worry, Kokoro: Soul, Heart chappie nine is still in production, I just got sidetracked. While eating chicken. XD I don't even know anymore.
