A/N: Loosely based on Gumi's song, Carnival~ XD Please note that I didn't know the eng sub when making this. o-o) I could simply understands bits of the lyrics like... really tiny bits. :/ And I could simply heard the word of 'eat' and how the 'carnival', sang 'kaanibaru' sounds like 'cannibal'. :'D So, yeah, this fic is born, Pfft.

English isn't my native language so I'm sorry for any grammatical or spelling mistakes.

Warnings: a bit of gore... perhaps. nothing to graphic though, rated T just to be safe... :/

"Mama, what is that?"

"I wonder… It's probably a carnival with all of its tents set up."

"A carnival?"

"Yes, there will be games, attractions, glowing lights, and all the bright things."

The child's eyes sparkled. "Can we go there?"

"Hm… If they are open tonight, I guess we can."

"Yay!"

A green-haired woman and blue-haired man approached them. "Hello there", the blue-haired man greeted them.

"Hello", the mother greeted back, confused.

"Sorry, we heard you talking about our carnival and well, we thought we'd promote it", the green-haired woman said, answering the unsaid question.

"Ah, this carnival's yours?"

"Yes, we travel from town to town, opening carnivals along the way. We'll open tonight, there will be lot of attractions and such, there will be a parade too!"

"My, sounds fun! I might check it out."

"We'll await your visit!"

The blue-haired man bent down to the child's level, "Bring lots of your friend too, alright?" He patted the child's head.

The child nodded eagerly.

As soon as the clock hit 6 PM, the carnival immediately lit up, temporary, sturdy fences surrounding it, the gates opened. Two figure emerged from inside the place, all the pedestrians attention immediately turned to the sudden source of bright lights, automatically turning to the two figures.

"Welcome, welcome!" the blue-haired man shouted first.

"Please, visit our carnival!"

"We have lots of fun games here, and there's a parade too!"

"Spend a night merrily, forget the hard things!"

"Spoil yourself to the utmost fun, just for a night!"

"You won't regret it, have fun, be happy!"

Interests piqued, some immediately tried to check the place out while some decided to bring their families along. Some passed by, uninterested.

"Say, have you hear the urban legend of the Carnival?"

"The Carnival? What's that?"

"It's an urban legend about a carnival, duh. They said that this mysterious carnival travelled from one place to another, opening for simply a night before disappearing, never to return. The whole carnival was said to be fun, typical carnivals, with all the bright lights, attractions, and parade."

"Then what makes this one different?"

"Well, apparently, they said that many entered but none left."

"Eeeh? Why exactly?"

"There are various rumors, though the most popular one was about how the people from the carnival trapped the visitors and eat them. They said that they're cannibals!"

"Wow, that's creepy."

"Oh, I heard about that one before", a soft, girlish voice cut their conversations. They turned to look at a blue-haired man and green-haired woman standing behind them. "They said that it's where the laughter of joy turned into cries of pains and fear as the night wears on."

"We also heard stories like how the attractions were mostly things that 'people don't want to see but still curious to see', so as to say, gore attractions. Also, how the merry-go-round would spin the passengers until they were simply a human pulp, and how the shooting games used people's heads at their targets."

"And what's worse is you won't realize the true nature of the carnival until the clock strikes midnight and the carnival's gates immediately closes, its lights immediately went out, leaving dark tents with not a single shadow moving, eerily silent."

"And how the next day, the ground will be empty, not a single trace of it left", the man finished.

The girls grimaced at the graphic image the two strangers had given them.

"How come you two know the legend so well?" one of them bravely asked.

"Well, we're carnivals, travelling from town to town, we picked up some interesting rumors on the way and thanks to that", the girl sighed, "Our business are going slow… Not only us actually, other groups we encountered complaining the same thing too. Apparently, rumors such as spread fast."

"Oh, the both of you own a carnival?"

"Yes", this time, the man answered. "We're going to open it tonight, be sure to come and visit us, alright?" the man handed the two a brochure, "Come visit us with your friends and families!"

"Spoil yourselves to a night of fun!" the woman winked.

"After hearing that story, give us a good reason to visit your carnival", the other one challenged.

The woman rubbed his chin in thought, "I wonder why…"

"Well, not all carnivals are like that, there are many other carnivals too, give us a chance won't you?" the man chuckled.

"Good point, well, we'll think about it", they said as they turned to leave.

"We'll gladly await your visit!"

As soon as the girls were out of sight and earshot, the two looked at each other.

"There are indeed many other carnivals", the woman said.

"But we never said that we aren't the one, right?" the man finished, the two smiling at each other.

A/N: I don't even know why I include Kaito there. :'D I probably love him too much, and a girl running a carnival alone is too sad so I'm including him to help Gumi out! XDD dat logic. /runs/
